Representing the final year of the original Chevrolet K5 Blazer, this 1972 example was reportedly delivered new in California, where it remained with its second owner until relocating to Michigan in 2014. It has undergone a comprehensive restoration, including a refinish in black over a custom white and orange interior. Upgrades include a custom-built 350ci V8 engine with chrome accents with a 4-barrel Quadratec carburetor, Thrush side pipes, and polished aluminum wheels. Acquired by the current owner with approximately 100 miles driven since the engine installation, this tastefully appointed K5 is now being offered for auction on dealer consignment out of Michigan.

This K5 Blazer has been stripped to bare metal and refinished in black with a matching removable hardtop. Chrome trim accents the bumpers, front grille, mirrors, door handles, and beltline molding, complemented by decorative zebrawood trim. Additional features include a roll bar, Thrush side pipes, a polished fuel filler cap, and a rear step, along with a rear-mounted spare tire and red-painted fuel tank. The exterior is described as being in concours condition, with detailed images provided in the gallery.

The cabin has been completely refurbished with white seat upholstery featuring orange and black plaid-patterned centers, along with body-color surrounds. White door panels are accented with zebrawood veneers and chrome trim. Additional features include a GT Grant steering wheel, green-lettered multi-gauge instrumentation, a push-button radio, a heater, a center console, and a locking passenger-side glovebox.

Power has been upgraded with a replacement custom-built 350ci V8 engine featuring a 4-barrel Quadratec carburetor. Chrome engine compartment trim and a Thrust exhaust system have also been added. The rear or all four wheels are driven through a 3-speed automatic Turbo-Hydramatic TH350 transmission. The seller states that a host of restoration documentation will accompany the sale.

This sale will include a clean title and a collection of records.

The seller would like you to know: “This is a no-expense spared restoration on a completely rust-free California Blazer. It has only been driven 3,900 miles by the current owner in the 10 years since he has owned it.  He has driven it mostly to car shows and for occasional  Sunday afternoon drives with the roof off.”
