This 1971 Porsche 914 1.7 is finished in Signal Orange and is said to have spent its life in Southern California. It was refinished in 2007 and features aftermarket bumpers, a custom snakeskin black vinyl interior, a three-spoke MOMO Veloce steering wheel, a Kicker subwoofer and amplifier, a Sony head unit, an aftermarket muffler, and a 5-speed manual transaxle. This 914 is said to have been refinished in the period-correct color of Signal Orange in 2007 along with the installation of custom body-colored bumpers with integrated front fog lights. Equipment includes a removable black roof panel, pop-up headlamps, a Porsche-logo tail panel reflector, a polished exhaust outlet, dual body-colored mirrors, chrome door handles, black lower rocker panels, and 15” Empi Fuchs-style wheels. Some cosmetic imperfections are depicted in the photo gallery.
Inside, this 914 features a black vinyl interior with custom snakeskin print inserts on the seat centers, dashboard, and center console. A three-spoke MOMO Veloce steering wheel has been installed along with a black leather gear knob. The sound system includes a Sony head unit paired with Audiobahn speakers, a Kicker subwoofer, and a trunk-mounted Kicker amplifier. Other accessories include three-point seatbelts, a glovebox, manual window cranks, a heater, and analog VDO instrument gauges.
Power comes from an air-cooled and fuel-injected 1.7-liter flat-four engine that drives the rear wheels by way of a 5-speed manual transaxle. An aftermarket exhaust muffler has been fitted along with a Spectre performance air filter. The seller indicates that the car has been regularly driven and routinely serviced including new fluids in July 2023.
This sale will include an owner’s manual, some documentation, a spare tire, and a clean title.

It is a 54 year old little Go-Kart, light , nimble, not very fast, full of wrinkles. Can Act as a First car for your Kid who just got his driver’s licence, probation vehicle to master the heel & toe, the wrench, before Accessing Dad’s car. How About That !?

@AlexBert Thank you very much. I forgot to ask about the rear trunk. Would you mind taking pictures of it as well, especially all the corners (w/out carpet), since those areas are prone to rust as well. I would highly appreciate that.

After watching the video and looking at the pictures please allow me to ask a few questions:
- The last slide in the video states that a PPI was performed. Can you upload it or at least the summery/results?
- Would you mind taking a video watching and hearing the sound of the car from the outside when it is passing by and shifting gears (without music in the background)?
- I would also appreciate a driving video where you can hear the engine (and transmission) without any music in the background. It would be great if the camera was pointed at the steering wheel during that time.
- A cold start video with the camera pointed at the exhaust would be a great add-on.
- And, please forgive my words. For a purist the car appears a bit "Frankenstein'd". In all locations where there is no new paint you can see lots of rust. Can you add some more pictures of the engine bay, the upper- and underside of the battery tray, close-ups of the rocker panels, door and window sills, the driver/passenger floor panels after removing the carpet and close ups of the underside of the car if you have a lift?
That info would help me a lot when deciding on my max bid.

THIS 914 was First listed away from away, southern California. Me hiring pro photographer there who did a decent Job. Emotion wasn’t there though. Too far. Local High-End Dealership here bought it. Transportation West to East coast done. Out of Country inspection Done. Flying Colors. Had the opportunity to do my own shooting, own Driving. Spectacular it was.
