Beginning life as a Porsche 914, this 1971 example is said to have been fitted with a custom widebody kit over 25 years ago which features a 930 Slant Nose style front end. The car was recently refinished in Petrol Blue Metallic and sports tan leather seats as well as an upgraded engine featuring dual Weber carburetors, a custom stainless-steel exhaust, and a big bore piston and cylinder kit. This incredibly unique Porsche 914 is now being offered for auction by its owner out of New Hampshire.
This 914 wears a custom fiberglass bodykit including widened fenders, louvered sail panels, side skirts, a 911-style rear bumper, and a modified Slant Nose style front end with pop-up headlamps and an integrated spoiler. The seller performed restoration over the last year which included stripping, epoxying, and priming the bodywork for a full repaint in the classic Porsche color of Petrol Blue Metallic. All rubber gaskets and body seals were also replaced during this time while the undercarriage was reconditioned and painted. The car rides on a set of 15” ATS Cookie Cutter wheels dressed in Dunlop tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features a pair of tan leather seats with a matching center console, carpeting, and leather steering wheel cover. The seller notes that the carpets were previously replaced, a cover has been installed over the dashboard, and all gauges remain fully functional. Some signs of wear are noted on the driver’s seat bolster and center console.
The air-cooled flat-four engine was rebuilt by the seller during the restoration and upgraded with a big bore kit including 94mm pistons for a 1,911cc displacement. The engine features new mounts and Weber 40 carburetors as well as a custom 2.5” stainless steel exhaust system. The 5-speed manual gearbox was also removed for service and paired with a new clutch, shift bushings, and mounts. Other maintenance included new front wheel bearings and rebuilt brake calipers as well as new pads and rotors. The seller states that all other components were also replaced or refurbished as necessary during the restoration.
This sale will include some documentation and a registration.
This sale will include: “Thanks so much for checking out my auction! I have owned this car for the last 5 years. I drove it for a couple of summers and really enjoyed it. I own a restoration shop and decide to restore it over this last winter. I felt like the car really deserved it. I put my own personal time and passion into this restoration. I'm so happy I did this as I feel the car really looks great. Good luck and happy bidding.”

I'm here if anyone has any questions
Bid in the amount of $6,500
@TENAUS No the car does not have an electrical draw. I just had it disconected for storage.
Actually it is the negative cable.
Bid in the amount of $6,000
One last question. I noticed that the positive cable is disconnected. Does the car have an electrical draw while parked.
Oh, OK Thanks
@TENAUS I don't see any reason why it wouldn't pass.
Bid in the amount of $5,500
Does the car pass NH state inspection?
@Manpot Yes you're correct
Body kit by Chalon I believe..
@Bkpay Hell hole is in good shape. I did not have to do any work to it. I'm not sure what the center console is out of maybe a 914-6. It was in the car when I bought it. As for pictures of the car prior to the kit, I do not have any. It was installed 25+ years ago.
Bid in the amount of $5,000
what is the condition of the "hell hole" area under the battery? What is the source of the center console you used? Do you have photos of the car prior to modifications? Thanks!
Very interesting concept. I think I love it... I hope it finds a good home.

@KCRiley The typo has been corrected, thank you.
@KCRiley You're Correct, it is a 1971. I will have Pcar correct this ASAP. Thanks
Not particularly consequential but based on the VIN this would seem to be a 1971 model year with the 3rd digit indicating the model year.
