Available for auction is this 1971 Chevrolet Camaro finished in white over a black leather interior. This 1971 example was acquired by the seller from its previous owner after it had been subject to a ground-up restoration. It comes equipped with a stroked 383ci V8 paired with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and features American Racing wheels, upgraded coilover suspension, and Wilwood brakes. This Camaro is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida having covered approximately 3k miles since its restoration.
The second-generation Camaro featured a new fastback roofline and distinctive quad-tail lights like those seen on the Corvette. This example is finished in white with black over-the-top stripes and was completely repainted during a previous restoration. It rides on a set of 18” American Racing Torq-Thrust style wheels with Nitto NT555 Extreme tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The black interior has been outfitted with a pair of deeply bolstered leather bucket seats as well as a Hurst shifter, custom Auto Meter gauges set in a carbon fiber instrument panel, a Vintage Air A/C system, and a three-spoke leather steering wheel.
Power comes from a stroked 383ci V8 engine that drives the rear wheel by way of a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission. The suspension has been upgraded with Speed Tech components and Viking coilovers, while stopping is handled by Wilwood brakes with 6-piston calipers at the front. The seller notes that an oil and filter service was completed in preparation for the next owner.
This sale will include a clean title.

The listing description has been updated as this could not be verified as an authentic Z28.
@Hallockcore I agree and well said !
@Gofast All steel with exception of minor spot in center of driver door about size of a half dollar to fix a parking lot ding --- professionally done--the only way I knew was the previous owner told me about it--I would not have known otherwise
Is the car all steal? Any bondo or filler? Also white is the best color to hide body works so please give your most honest description of paint and body, thanks
Here’s one guys take on this.
Due to its mods, Anyone who buys this is not buying it as a factory correct show collector car.
This is however a bad ass looking and what seems to be well built modified 71 Camaro.
It’s value is subjective. Building something like this when all is said and done can cost $80k plus. Great looking and sounding for sure. Lots of fun for anything less.

@200mph good catch! Also true 71 Z28s had floor mounted gas pedals.
@200mph Yes this was a Van Nuys build THE A/C is an aftermarket upgrade
A true 71 Z will not have AC vents in the center of the dash. AC was not available.
Only Norwood-built Zs will have “Z28” on the trim tag, not Van Nuys builds.

@Dreammachines1 @Dreammachines1- Here is a site that will help in the decoding.
https://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/camaro71.html
@Dreammachines1 @Dreammachines1- The paint code (11-Antique White) is on this trim tag. I would like to see the Z28 on it as well to show that it is a TRUE Z28. It should be on there if it is.
@ParamountAutomotive yes this color is correct-- this car was built into LA Cali plant which did not put the code in the trim tag-- Z28 forums mention this
@Dreammachines1 @Dreammachines1- Is it possible to take some Lacquer Thinner and wipe off the Trim tag? With ALL the paint on it now I can't tell if it is a TRUE Z28. I can make out the Code paint of 11 which is ANTIQUE WHITE and looks correct to this car.
@ParamountAutomotive I had Pcarmarket upload the info you requested---as far as history I didnt do the restoration but I have brochures and receipts of the major parts used such as suspension-A/C shocks etc

Is it the original color as it came from the factory? Can you post a picture of the trim tag on the cowl? Do you have any historical documentation with it?
