1970s Illuminated Alfa Romeo Sign

Available for auction is a rare illuminated Alfa Romeo showroom sign from the 1970s. The seller states the sign once hung at Fishers Alfa Romeo in Edinburgh, Scotland when they first opened their showroom. Fishers was the very first official Alfa Romeo dealer in the East of Scotland. 
The sign measures approximately 39” inches in length, 11” inches in height, and 6 1/2” inches in depth. The sign had previously been suspended from the ceiling and still retains its original chains. The internal sign components are accessed via the sign’s removable backing. The original lighting has been updated to energy efficient LED lights and wired to a UK plug.
The sign is constructed of an aluminum frame which has been painted white. The Alfa Romeo logotype is raised out from the flat face of the sign and finished in a dark burgundy color.
