An iconic British sports car, the Triumph TR6 offers classic styling, a torquey engine, simple maintenance, and a pure driving experience. Powered by a 2.5-liter inline-six with dual Weber carburetors and paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this 1970 example previously underwent restoration and is refinished in green over a black interior. It features a black soft top, 15” steel wheels with polished rings, a cabin heater, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, a Monza exhaust system, and more. Showing under 53k miles on the odometer, this TR6 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
As the successor to the TR5, the TR6 features a Karmann-styled body, increased trunk storage, wider wheels, and a standard front anti-roll bar. This example underwent restoration two years ago and is refinished in green with black accents on the rear panel and windshield and includes a new front grille and chrome trims. Exterior details include a soft black top, black top boot, dual side mirrors, and chrome bumpers. It rides on silver 15” steel wheels with polished trim rings and new tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is appointed with black Miata seats upholstered in black vinyl, complemented by matching door panels and new carpets. Interior features include a new dashboard, new gauges, a Moto-Lita steering wheel, a locking glovebox, a heater, a wooden shift knob, and a Kenwood head unit. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be fully functional.
Power comes from a 2.5-liter inline-six featuring dual downdraft Weber carburetors with a manual choke, which delivers to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. Performance upgrades include an aftermarket exhaust manifold and a Monza exhaust system. Front disc and rear drum brakes facilitate braking power.
This sale will include an air pump and a transferable New York registration.
The seller would like you to know: “Thank you for your interest. This has been a car that we have all put much work into over the last 2 years restoring it to it’s current condition. We have 5 new tires on the car along with the chrome trim. The trim all around is proper chrome that has been replaced or cleaned up. For Tr6 the first year 69, this is a 1970 and the earlier ones are more desirable. We have replaced some components with parts that are period-specific and with the proper fitment. It drives truly incredibly for its age, and we would love it to go to a home where it can be driven and enjoyed as it should.”

Yes, we have full underside photos. The frame is in great condition condition.
The body was generally good except for the driver side front fender had to be swapped out. The rear panel under the trunk lid had a lot of Bondo so we cut that out and replaced it with another panel
Can you describe the restoration process or post pictures before? Can you post underside / frame / suspension pics? The panel gaps seem to be off by quite a bit - esp the passenger door and the hood / bonnet. Were these removed for the restoration? Was there any body damage / rust prior to resto? If so how was that repaired?
