Now up for auction is this 1970 Porsche 914 finished in Light Ivory. Originally sold from Tampa, FL. this 914 is accompanied by service records dating back to 1970 as well as its original window sticker which includes the optional Appearance Group. In more recent years, this example has been upgraded with Koni shock absorbers, an Ansa-style quad-tip exhaust, and a freshly reupholstered tartan interior. Currently showing approximately 34k miles on the 5-digit odometer, this 914 underwent a recent service and inspection in preparation for sale and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Boynton Beach, FL.
This 914 is factory finished in Light Ivory, and the seller reports the hood and rear decklid to have been previously refinished. Some imperfections and patina are noted throughout the exterior and the added magnetic graphics and decals are easily removable. This example features front fog lights as part of the optional Appearance group as well as factory 15” 4-lug Riviera alloy wheels.
The black vinyl interior was recently reupholstered with new carpeting and tartan upholstery on the door panels and seat inserts. An upgraded Bluetooth radio and speakers have been installed and the seller reports all gauges and accessories to be fully functional, although the antenna is currently missing. Some warping is depicted on the upper dashboard, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery.
This early 914 is powered by a fuel-injected 1.7L VW Type 4 flat-four engine that sends approximately 80 HP to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox. Upgraded Koni shock absorbers have been installed along with an aftermarket Ansa-style quad-tip exhaust. Maintenance records are said to be included dating back to 1970 and the seller notes that a recent oil service was carried out in preparation for sale along with the replacement of some vacuum lines and the rear main seal. A recent inspection is said to have been carried out by KWM Motorsports which found the vehicle to be in excellent mechanical order. The findings from another professional evaluation are provided in the photo gallery and the seller reports a front-end shimmy at around 70 MPH which likely requires a wheel balancing.
This sale will include the original books, window sticker, spare tire, service records, and a clean title. As the Porsche 914 grows more collectible than ever, nicely presented driver grade examples are becoming increasingly hard to find, do not let this one pass you by.

@Canuck127 Your pedantic replies are not correct. The car was thoroughly inspected twice and there is ZERO rust on this 914. The body is in original condition with ZERO repairs. If you don't know facts you should keep your opinions to yourself or better yet ask questions without assuming.
actually, looking closer at pics, there is evidence of shoddy repair near battery tray, surface rust around gas tank and trunk floors, no pics of floors with carpets removed, seller should drop reserve and take what is bid. good luck.
Great looking car. no such thing as "factory" riviera wheels though. plaid interiors were not offered until 1975. Should sell for about $21k is my guess.
ONLY $1,500 SHORT OF THE RESERVE !
THIS AWESOME 914 SHOULD BE SELLING IN THE 20'S - LET'S GET THOSE BIDS GOING !

JUST ONE MORE GOOD BID!
Hi, from what I know and see the car is pretty much all original. The documents I have are from the 1970s. Right now the car is mechanically perfect and doesn't need anything. I just changed the rear seal and did an oil change at KWM Motorsports. The miles are believed to be accurate and the cleanliness of the car appears to be in line with those miles. I hope this helps.
@PMason There is ZERO RUST on this car. Hell hole is clean too. I just had the car inspected at KWM Motorsports and he also said there are no signs of rust. It's clear this car has been kept very dry during its life.

@maybeillbuyit I am told the interior pattern is the original design. I love it and it is typical of this year's car.
Amazing looking car. Such nice shape. Love the reupholstered interior. Is that an original pattern that would have come on a new 914? Either way its fantastic.
Hi all, I am the current curator of this awesome 914. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see something specific that I can send you a pic of. Mike
