Featuring RS-style bodywork finished in Mexico Blue, this 1970 Porsche 911T Coupe was commissioned as a custom 6-year restoration in Southern California under previous ownership. The car’s chassis has been reinforced with stitch-weld gusseting and fitted with handmade steel RS-style rear fender flares, fiberglass RS-style bumpers, a center-fill hood, and a ducktail spoiler. The cabin has been redone with a lightweight RS carpet kit, GT2 Recaro bucket seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and a 4-point roll bar. Power comes from a custom 2.5-liter flat-six engine with JE pistons, twin-plug heads, coil-on-plug ignition, PMO carburetors, a front-mounted Mocal oil cooler, and an M&K exhaust. Performance features include a rebuilt and upgraded 901 5-speed manual transaxle, late-model Carrera aluminum suspension, Sachs sport shocks, front and rear anti-roll bars, and a Boxster S braking system. Purchased by the current owner in 2019, this 911T was relocated to Louisiana in January 2025, where it is now being offered for auction.

During the restoration, the car’s chassis was completely stripped and reinforced with stitch-weld gusseting. The bodywork features handmade steel RS-style rear fender flares, a center-fill hood, fiberglass RS-style bumpers, and a ducktail rear spoiler. All glass and brightwork was replaced and restored, and the battery was relocated to the smuggler’s box. The exterior was refinished in Mexico Blue single-stage PPG paint and decorated with black Porsche script side stripes and Carrera RS-style rear graphics. New 9Haus headlights with clear lens covers were installed under the current ownership in 2024. The car rides on 15”x7 and 15”x8” Fuchs wheels in an RSR-style frosted finish with 2021-dated Yokohama Advan tires. Detailed images and photos of the restoration are provided in the gallery.

The cabin has been redone with a lightweight RS carpet kit, RS-style door panels with blue pull straps, a black leather three-spoke MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, and black leather GT2 Recaro bucket seats. Accessories include a 4-point roll bar, a Rennline dash delete plate, dash pad and accent leathers by John Moch, a completely rebuilt gauge cluster from North Hollywood Speedometer, 5-point racing harnesses, a fire extinguisher, a J West billet shifter, and a rebuilt pedal cluster with brass bushings.

The 2.5-liter flat-six has been custom-built with a shuffle-pinned and boat-tailed 1967 aluminum engine case. It features a knife-edged and balanced crankshaft and rods, OEM cylinders, JE pistons, E-grind cams, twin-plug heads, Clewett coil packs, a crank-fire ignition system, an RSR oil system with an oversized Mocal front cooler, PMO carburetors, an electronic and regulated fuel system, and an M&K exhaust with dual center-mounted tailpipes. Power is sent through a 901 5-speed manual transaxle prepared by TRE Motorsport with an upgraded bearing carrier plate, OEM linkages, brass bushings, and rebuilt OEM driveshafts. The car features a late-model Carrera aluminum suspension setup with Sachs sport shocks, 27mm rear and 19mm front torsion bars, front and rear anti-roll bars, and polybronze and urethane bushings. Stopping power comes from a Boxster S braking system with Hawk brake pads. The seller notes that an oil service was completed in February 2025.

This sale will include a battery trickle charger, an extra set of amber headlights, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “The previous owner commissioned the build of the vehicle to be a canyon driver in the SoCal area. The current owner acquired the vehicle in 2019 and used it sparingly and mostly stayed in a climate-controlled Porsche storage facility in Pasadena, CA.  Always well maintained and serviced the vehicle comes ready for the next owner to enjoy.”

@TFerrer no worries- appreciate the comment. ours is real all the way. It wasn't in my clients notes and until I started getting info on the engine from the original owner he mentioned having them, but is out of town this week. Thanks for watching!

@Alpine911t - In Baton Rouge, LA. correct.

Sorry- But I've seen waaaaaay to many cars with claimed high-end mods and expensive parts to only be cracked open to have none of the claimed mods/parts. Car should have a load of receipts if that much was spent on it . Not trying to rain on anyone's parade but a car built to a high level with extensive mods should have paperwork to back it all up.

Interested to see where this one goes. May jump in, but honestly in observing a Rothsport 3.2 RS style tribute recently bid to $150k and NOT sell I believe there is a disconnect between sellers of restomod tributes. A real '74 RS will go for high money (as it should). This is a wonderful 1970 tribute car with a high revving 2.5. Popcorn ready. Having no ventillation besides rolling down windows would be rough in a lot of summers and falls depending on geography. That is only questionable build decision IMO.

  • wantafanta (registered bidder) 1 day, 16 hoursago

@ZeroCool Thanks for performing compression and leak down testing. The shop who did the testing - did they provide any explanation as to why there could be such a large deviation in compression numbers (212 max vs 148 min) and still have 0% leak down?

  • Tsol (registered bidder) 2 days, 1 hourago

@ZeroCool Wheels surely look like 16x7’s front and 16x6’s rear. Backwards.

Compression and leak down test done and uploaded. All cylinders were at 100%.

Talked to the gentleman that built this car.

"The engine build is >$50,000 in parts and labour and took more than 5 years to assemble and prepare all the pieces. TRE assembly work alone was >$22K to my recollection. I have many receipts somewhere but they are not immediately organized and at hand. I am travelling until next week and would have to dig out old papers in boxes etc. I am glad you are enjoying the car and I hope you find a good home for it. It is a special car no matter how much the nitpickers want to call out small things they don’t like. I can only say with assurance that the motor in that car is top shelf. It’s as good a 2.5ST engine as one can get!!"

    & The wheels- 16x7 & 16x8 staggered set.

Joe18d We completely agree. -good points. This is not a big deal & we can run the test on Monday. Those wheels can also be double checked!

Punjabi408 - got those photos. Hood is steel. bumpers-and rear ducktail are fiberglass. No holes for mounting a badge. Yes, be careful do not pcarmarket and drive!

  • joe18d (registered bidder) 4 days, 19 hoursago

When selling a 911 of this caliber & likely price range, leak down #'s are absolutely expected to demonstrate the health of the engine. That is just the way it is.

Good question on weight- will investigate. seems everyone has the verdict wheels are 16x7, street legal yes. clean CA title - No AC...roll window down and stick hand out to direct air.

  • garyklein911 (registered bidder) 5 days, 12 hoursago

Few questions. Weight of car. Confirm wheels are all 16x7. I assume street legal? I know there are no smog devices shown. Title? What type of air ventilation is there? No vents in dash.

wantafanta: Talked to my tech (owner of the VEX European) - that's not something normally requested on newer 911's so getting into the air-cooled cars. Generally, to perform that test there are some indicators of misfire, smoke- some reason to run the test. This engine is running really well. I'm going to upload some videos today of the car running etc. If you want to run the test I can have them do it for you as a customer pay. They can add a bore scope as well - $175 per hr (2-3 hrs). I've reviewed some other auctions and I think that is reasonable as I don't see leak down tests as a standard thing. etc.

Ruri: no accidents or repairs on the chassis

twickes40: about 2500 miles under current ownership. Mileage is at 8135 I think that it was probably set at zero at build.

Hope everyone has a good day. Going to make some videos of the car & will upload later this afternoon.

Hello & welcome to Beesley Motorcars 1st auction on pcarmarket. We are an enthusiast dealership that loves Porsche. We’ve built a beautiful showroom to curate excellent cars such as this 911. I selected Baton Rouge bc the best Porsche / exotic tech I know is down the street & the best ppf/detailer is next door. 1 mile from a great Porsche store also.

That’s us! The car and to answer the below question. The photos I took in L.A. over 4th July wkd ‘24 while swapping headlights to the clear lens & getting some photos. The indoor photos I took are as the car sits today in the showroom. The car stayed in L.A. p-car storage and was not driven btw outdoor photos and indoor (the owner relocated to the east coast while owning this car and left it at the storage facility.).

Please save & subscribe! We look forward to sharing this car with you all over the coming days!

    Bests,
    Nicholas
