Produced from 1968-1972, the third-generation Chevrolet El Camino featured multiple powertrain options and the iconic Ute body style. This 1970 example is equipped with the largest and most potent powertrain offering of its time, the LS6 454ci V8 engine, and benefits from a refurbishment effort in 2020. It is refinished in its original color of Fathom Blue over a blue vinyl interior and features a 12-bolt rear end, a Positraction differential, 14″ Rally II-style wheels, front disc brakes, and an AM radio. This El Camino is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Kentucky.

I want to thank everyone for their bids. 6 hours to go we are almost home someone might be taking this beautiful car home today good luck and keep bidding
Folks this is a real ls6 the build sheet was certified by Jerry mcniech the original owner ordered it with stripe delete and no cowl induction that’s why it has a dual snorkel air breather extremely rare
@Grandpashotrods - I stand corrected. You are right. I totally missed the LS6 heading. These are rare and you may be right. @Camel2300 is weeding out the tire kickers. Best of luck to the seller and hopefully the winning high bidder!
@TheGuesser this is far from a world record. Scottsdale last year one sold for 275k and several have sold over 200k. Looks like a smart bidder that doesn’t want to play the ridiculous bids game that many enjoy.
@pcarmarket - You might want to double-check with @Camel2300 on his near $200k bid. I'm assuming there's a typo in there somewhere. It's a nice El Camino but I think that bid would set a record.
Bid in the amount of $185,000
