Produced from 1969 to 1994, the Honda Trail 70 CT70 has gained a cult following in the world of small motorcycles, known for its retro styling, versatile performance, and nostalgic charm. Finished in Candy Sapphire Blue, this 1969 example was purchased by the seller from its original owner in 2020 and features its original 72cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine, a grab bar, a new seat cover, an aftermarket carburetor, an aftermarket mirror, and new decals. This CT70 is now being offered for auction at no reserve by its seller out of California.
The CT70 is built on a hollow, lightweight frame designed for maneuverability on trails and off-road terrain. This example is finished in Candy Sapphire Blue and features a black racing stripe and a new black seat. Additional equipment includes a grab bar, a horn, and an aftermarket mirror. The seller notes to have installed new decals and states that the headlight bucket has had previous paintwork. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to function as intended, with no warning lights.
Powered by its original 72cc SOHC single-cylinder four-stroke air-cooled engine, the mini-bike sends power to its rear wheel by way of a 3-speed transmission with an automatic clutch and drive chain. The seller reports that an aftermarket carburetor has been fitted, along with a new battery, and a fresh oil & filter change. Additionally, the seller states there are some holes in the muffler that are covered with Dynamat material.
