As the pony car wars intensified during the 1960s, Ford discontinued the Mustang GT trim in favor of the newly introduced Mach 1. Offered exclusively in the “SportsRoof” fastback body style, the Mach 1 package included a range of visual and performance enhancements along with multiple powertrain options. This 1969 example is finished in white over black upholstery and was reportedly treated to a comprehensive frame-off restoration prior to 1999. Said to have been rarely driven and consistently garage-kept since, this classic Mustang is now available for auction out of California.
The Mach 1 features the distinctive SportsRoof fastback body and is equipped with a hood scoop and pins, a chrome pop-open gas cap, front chin and rear decklid spoilers, bespoke Mach 1 decals, and optional SportSlat rear window louvers. This example is said to have been refinished in its original shade of white as part of its rotisserie restoration and rides on 15” chrome wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich tires. A collection of images is provided in the gallery.
Exclusively offered with the Deluxe interior as part of the Mach 1 package, the cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with Comfort Weave inserts. Interior details include wood grain veneers, a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, roll-up windows, a center console with integrated cup holders, and Mustang-branded floor mats. All gauges and accessories are reported to be in proper working order, and the odometer is believed to show actual mileage, although supporting documentation is not available.
Power comes from a 16-valve 351ci Windsor V8 paired with a C6 3-speed automatic transmission sending power to the rear wheels. From the factory, Mach 1 models were equipped with an upgraded suspension package that included higher-rate springs, larger front and rear stabilizer bars, and heavy-duty shocks. According to the seller, this Mach 1 remained in a private collection until 1999, during which time it received a full frame-off restoration reportedly costing $25k. It was then sold to the next owner with approximately 150 miles on the odometer and changed hands again in 2021 with a reported 250 miles. With approximately 250 additional miles added since then, the car is reported to show its actual mileage, although documentation is unavailable.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “V8 American Muscle in its truest form!”

This has spent its entire life being pampered in multiple collections and is in great shape still since the rotisserie restoration that was done over 25 years ago. It's a very mean looking, sounding, and driving car that breaks necks everywhere it goes. It starts up every single time with no hesitation and is ready for its next caretaker!
