The third-generation Chevrolet El Camino combines iconic muscle car aesthetics with versatile utility. This 1969 model has undergone a comprehensive restoration, including a professional refinish in metallic black, a custom front grille, a power-bulge hood, double-staggered Boze wheels, and a custom interior with TMI seats and modern amenities. At its core, a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 engine has been mated to a 4L85-E automatic transmission. Additional upgrades include a Ford 9” rear end, Wilwood disc brakes, braided stainless steel lines, Level 3 QA1 coilover suspension, a cross-flow aluminum radiator, a custom exhaust system with cutouts, and power steering. Acquired by the current owner in 2018, this custom El Camino is now available for auction on dealer consignment out of Arizona.
Following the disassembly of the body, chrome, and trim, this example underwent a complete refinish in metallic black, accentuated by metallic stripes along the hood. It features a custom headlight and grille components, a front bumper with an integrated lip, power-operated sport mirrors, Kindig-it Design flush door handles, and a power-bulge hood mounted on billet hinges. The rear roll pan is equipped with square exhaust outlets, while the tailgate has been replaced and now boasts black-stained wood panels highlighted with chrome strips and a flush-mounted fuel filler. The vehicle rides on staggered-width 18”/20” Boze wheels shod with 245/40 and 275/40 Nitto tires.
The cabin has been customized with TMI Pro-Series Sport-GT seats upholstered in Titanium with black contrasts and red stitching. The color-coordinated upholstery extends to the dashboard, door panels, center console, and a 14” polished steering wheel mounted on a powder-coated tilt column. The headliner and A-pillar trim are also from TMI, while Vintage Air climate control can be managed via a panel below the touchscreen Alpine stereo. Control buttons for the start-stop function and electric exhaust cutouts are located behind the cupholder, along with a gear selection panel. Additional features include keyless entry, automatic locking, carbon-look replacement gauges, paddle shifters, and an electronically-actuated parking brake.
Beneath the hood, a supercharged 6.2-liter LSA V8 crate engine sourced from Midway Chevrolet has been fitted. The engine bay was smoothed, and a custom-painted cover to match the car, gloss-red valve covers, an LSX Concepts high-mount accessory drive, and ceramic-coated Hedman Husler headers were installed. Additional enhancements include a cross-flow aluminum radiator, AN fittings, a billet brake booster, and an aluminum vacuum reservoir. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L85-E transmission and Ford 9″ rear end. The frame was powder-coated, and the body received undercoating. The exhaust system has been equipped with electric cutouts. Wilwood Superlite calipers, with six pistons in the front and four in the rear, are combined with drilled and slotted directional rotors and braided stainless-steel lines. The Level 3 QA1 coilover suspension features adjustable shocks, height-adjustable springs, tubular control arms, boxed lower trailing arms, adjustable frame braces, and front and rear sway bars. Completing the setup is a Summit Racing power steering rack.
This sale will include a clean title and build documentation.

“ When the electronically controlled exhaust cutouts are open, this El Camino screams.”
Ok, so let’s see the video!! Or it didn’t happen…
😆
Wow.
just, Wow!
I'm a vintage Porsche guy, but my daily driver is a '67 El Camino with a 5.7 LS1 and 4L60e. It is such a pleasure to drive. I have much of the same 'bling' as this Chevy, and put a LOT of time and money into mine, but this is next level nice. I can't imagine just how amazing this must be to drive and show.. The builder should be very proud!!
GLWA.
