The C3 introduced new styling and drivability to the early Chevrolet Corvette. Among the second generation to carry the Stingray nameplate, this 1969 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible is powered by a desirable 427ci V8 engine and features an optional Tri-Power configuration along with a Turbo Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in black over a matching leather interior, the car equips a black soft top, a Monza title front end, a vented hood, side exhaust outlets, chrome trim, and more. This well-presented example is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Oklahoma.

Compared to its predecessor, the C3 showcases a new design with a longer, lower, and wider stance, featuring pop-up headlights, sculpted fender flares, a sharply pointed front end, and chrome bumpers. This example has been refinished in black with a matching manually operated convertible soft top. It showcases a Monza tilt front end, a vented hood, side louvers, fender vents, and side exhaust outlets. The seller adds that a ceramic coating has been performed in preparation for the sale. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The driver is situated within a black leather interior with chrome accents. Equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, lap belts, roll-up windows, and a passenger’s side dashboard-mounted map pocket. The center stack displays an analog clock and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and amperage. All gauges and accessories are confirmed to be in proper working order.

Beneath the hood lies a 427ci big-block V8 engine featuring a Tri-Power configuration, which incorporates three two-barrel carburetors. The rear wheels are driven through a Turbo Hydramatic 3-speed automatic transmission. No outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “The story on this car is that it was a Tulsa Oklahoma car its whole life, as it claimed to be 24k original miles; I cannot certify that based on lack of old registration history included with the car. But the car definitely represents a probable 24k original mile car based on its original interior condition, along with a few telltales under the hood with original smog equipment and other items that are still there and in great shape.”

@Hardhattg Better pictures would be best. Looks like an older restoration with great options. Engine pad pic is not great, but doesn’t look right. Great driver.

My buddy owns a pretty big trucking company, YOU would be shocked how many over the road truck drivers cannot drive a stick, He goes through at least 4 drivers befor he finds an older guy that can drive a stick on a semi, The drivers are all trained on Automatics , I sold all my cars that were sticks like an idiot about 5 years ago, M5, Porsche 930(Turbo) 2 69 RS/SS Camaros , I was so stupid when I did it, I could shoot myself how dumb I was , It was actually longer almost 10 years ago.

@RACRX the way times are going with fewer and fewer people being able to actually drive an automatic these days, it’s seems there is a good chance the lessor produced 435hp Automatic may become more valuable than the 4-speed.

I am amazed how many auto transport drivers no longer know how to drive a stick, and I have had to load or unload the car in the trailer because of that.

The funny thing, He hid it from m for 8 years after he did it, He acted like he still had it until finally I asked how the old car was , He came clean what he had done, Did not offer to give me any of it, But came clean !!

@RACRX Wow. I have had that happen, and have heard other stories like that also, but never anything that fast. It was either planned, or that neighbor applied some very quick must buy tactics.

Had the same car in the early 80's, I bought it from a pilot, It had 6100 miles on it when I purchased it, I sold it to my brother as a graduation present from med school. He was suppose to sell it back to me if he ever wanted to sell it, His neighbor bought it 2 days later in Sana Barbara cal. For 4 times the amount I sold it to him for , Got to love family. !!!!!!!! He said he needed to money to start his practice !!!
