The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro entered its final model year in 1969 and saw a major styling update with redesigned bodywork. This example is a Z/28 model equipped with the X77 base trim package, a 4-speed manual transmission, disc brakes, and the optional Cross-Ram induction system with dual four-barrel carburetors. Said to have been previously restored to its factory specifications including new Rally Green Metallic paint and black vinyl upholstery, this Camaro Z/28 is now being offered for auction out of California.
This Camaro is said to have undergone a bare-metal restoration in its factory color of Rally Green Metallic with contrasting white rally stripes in 2008. The car was factory-equipped with X77 trim and has been fitted with a replacement GM fiberglass cowl induction hood. Equipment includes front and rear spoilers, chrome bumpers, a driver’s side mirror, dual exhaust pipes, Z/28 badging, and 15” Rally wheels. The seller indicates the tires are new and the exterior remains in excellent overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The restored black vinyl interior features a three-spoke wood-trimmed steering wheel and woodgrain accents on the lower dashboard and center console. Accessories include lap belts, a tilting steering column, an AM radio, a heater, and a Hurst shifter. A new odometer was installed upon completion of the restoration and it currently shows under 400 miles.
The original 302ci DZ V8 engine was factory-equipped with the optional Cross-Ram induction system and dual four-barrel carburetors. It delivers up to 290 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed Muncie manual transmission and a 12-bolt rear axle with 3.73 gears. The seller notes a mechanical overhaul was completed during the restoration and an oil change was recently performed.
This sale will include owner’s manuals, a spare tire, a car cover, and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “If you are looking for a really nice Z28 cross ram, this is it. This is a brand new 1969 Z28.”

@krobsklassics i’m not sure what you’re talking about. I have never seen anything about that. This car came out of a collection with six other Z28. and this guy has owned the car since 2004
I am interested in this car but confused with the trim tag on it currently VS a post on Camaros.net about this particular car. If you search the VIN another posting is present and the car has a different trim tag? Can you shed some light?

Just let everyone know this is one of the cleanest 69 Z 28 you have ever seen. Don’t let it get by you if you are looking for a 69Z 28 you will not find a cleaner one.

Love this car. Green has always been my favorite color. Not just with cars. Always admired this GM color. I have ‘70 Z28 in red. RS/Z28, 4speed.
Nevermind. I see the picture of the original sticker.
Hi, is this the original color of the car? I see it was painted but I just want to confirm what the original color was. Thanks
@RonHelmuth when would you like to come out?
@RonHelmuth yes whenever you like just let me know
Is the car available to inspect?
@RonHelmuth sorry about that. It’s a M2 one.
@RonHelmuth m22
M20 or M21 or M22?
@Slim_Chance that is correct they actually sold them to you in the trunk would’ve said of headers cause they weren’t allowed to put the headers on the car. Everything was sold in the trunk of the car from the dealer.

I'll take 1, please. GLWA!!!
As I understood from years ago (when these were new!), the Cross Ram was a dealer installed option. Wasn't cheap either.
