The entry-level sister car to the original Porsche 911, the 912 shares the bodywork of its flagship counterpart and equips a lightweight flat-four engine that offers improved weight distribution, serviceability, and range. This 1968 example is finished in white over a black vinyl interior and features a rebuilt engine with an upgraded 1,720cc displacement and Weber 40 carburetors. It was acquired by the seller about two years ago and is now being offered for auction out of California.
This short-wheelbase 912 Coupe is said to have been previously refinished in its original white paint color. Equipment includes chrome trim, yellow-tinted fog lights, a polished driver’s side mirror, pop-out rear quarter windows, a fender-mounted antenna, chrome bumperettes with rubber overriders, and chrome 15” slotted steel wheels with Porsche-crested hubcaps. The seller indicates there are no signs of rust and the paint remains in fair overall condition. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features black vinyl upholstery with matching carpets and basketweave pattern inserts on the seat centers and door panels. Accessories include a wood gear knob, a leather-wrapped four-spoke steering wheel, brushed aluminum dashboard trim, door panel storage pockets, manual window cranks, an aftermarket under-dash A/C system, rubber floor mats, and aftermarket speakers.
The air-cooled flat-four engine was rebuilt to a 1,720cc displacement by ACE Performance in California and fitted with upgraded Weber 40 carburetors. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller states the original Solex carburetors are included with the sale and the car was recently serviced including a valve adjustment, oil change, and carburetor tuning.
This sale will include a spare tire and a clean title (lien).

do all the gauges work properly?
@andrewdlt going to call credit union now and double check.
@gigawatt they email me an electronic title within a few days, but the physical copies vary. Unless you come into credit union with me and sign it over in your name.
Yes I can assist with shipping, I live near the ports of LA. That wouldn’t be a problem.

A few questions please.
- How long is the turn around for the title from your credit union? I asked because some banks have a long process before they release the title. Sometimes 1-2 weeks. Have you verified with your credit union?
- Can you assist with shipping?
- Would also like to see some underside photos please.

@randrade23 Good question - hopefully less than the reserve.
@m1dad yes I can. Will do that asap for yall
Are you able to provide photos from underneath the car? Floor pans, front pan, engine, etc, etc....
Can you get a driving video before the auction closes? Please and underneath vehicle front and rear. Thank you.
Bid in the amount of $12,000
Thank you. How much debt needs to be paid in addition to purchase price?
@randrade23 negative brotha. The debt will be paid To lien holder and then transferred title into buyers name.
Good looking 912
Title will come with car? No debt is assumed with purchase? Thank you.
@jccaro the ride height has been lowered with adjustable rear spring plates, can be easily raised back up.
@prmnorton1 good morning, to be honest I’ve never tried the heat, since I live in Cali I have no need for it. I can most definitely put on some jacks stands and take pictures of the bottom no problem.
What is happening with the ride height? Can you address? Thanks.
Are you able to provide a driving video going through the gears? Thanks
@seller, hi Do you have records for work done? Does the heat work? And can you provide pictures of underneath the car please and the floors, if you can put on a lift that would be great, thanks
@Bruce914 yes correct, my credit union has the title, but an easy transaction can be made. Also the car has adjustable rear spring plates so can easily be raised.
@taketime177.- good evening, the car was purchasing Texas and brought to Cali, then purchsed by me.
I see sold n a lien - does that mean the bank needs to be paid first? Nice looking car - a little to low to low for me but easy fix.
Do you know where the car was first sold by, as in who was the car dealer was?
Bid in the amount of $10,250
Too low. Camber and toe are off in the rear. You may be on all of the bump stops too. This can make a car "Porpoise" over bumps and irregularities in the road. The best money I've spent in years was raising my car to a level where the suspension can do its job. All relatively easy fixes. A great alignment and corner balance made a 50 year old 911 a dream to drive again. GLWA.
I like euro ride height, but isn’t this one slammed?
It’s a very nice looking ‘68 12……….and ride height IS subjective😳
@Trailerlifestyle good morning, unfortunalty I do not have those parts, as I purchased the car this way.
My apologies
Bid in the amount of $10,000
Do you have the remaining A/C parts i.e. compressor and bracket, hoses, coolers and etc. ? Thx, Steve
Hello everyone. I’m here to answer any questions about the 912.
Cheers
