The Lamborghini R230 tractor was introduced in 1967 with a new design, a synchromesh transmission with two reverse speeds, a locking differential, and a more powerful 1.5-liter diesel engine than its predecessor. This 1968 example was purchased by the previous owner out of Italy and relocated to Germany, where it was purchased by the seller and imported back to the U.S. in 2021. It has since been completely disassembled and restored along with an engine rebuild, refurbished fuel injectors, and a new clutch. This classic Lamborghini tractor is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
Compared to its predecessor, the 2R DT, the R230 tractor featured an entirely new design with a squared front cowl and a restyled grille. During the restoration, the bodywork was removed from the tractor’s chassis, sandblasted, and refinished in Nason Grand Prix White 3-part urethane paint. The chassis was cleaned with mineral spirits and refinished in Nason Atlas Blue paint, and the tractor was reassembled with new stainless-steel hardware. Equipment includes dual headlights and taillights, a muffler stack, dual rear power take-offs, a hydraulic rear three-point tow bar, a forward-hinged hood, Lamborghini badging, a black plastic seat, a black three-spoke steering wheel, independent brake pedals, and analog Veglia Borletti instrumentation. The white-painted steel wheels are fitted with new 5”x15” front and 11.2”x24” BKT tires and tubes.
The 1,562cc two-cylinder FL30 diesel engine features Bosch fuel injection and was factory-rated at 30 HP. The rear wheels are driven through a synchromesh manual transmission with six forward gears, two reverse gears, and a locking differential. Stopping power is handled by independently actuated rear drum brakes. The seller states the engine has been rebuilt with new piston rings, valves, valve guides, and refurbished fuel injectors. Other services included cleaning the fuel tank, replacing the fuel filter, differential oil, rear wheel gear units, clutch, and pressure plate. The seller notes the hood was modified at the dashboard end under previous ownership, with roughly an inch of metal and extra fittings added.
This tractor is offered with a bill of sale.

This would be a great companion for one's Lamborghini automobile.
The license plate with the "FE" means that it was registered in the Ferrara region in Italy.
The tractor has both an hydraulically activated rear tow bar and a strong hitch which is bolted to the rear frame for heavy loads. The engine rebuild as limited to new valves, valve guides and new piston rings. The clutch as well as the pressure plate was replaced.

Ive seen this tractor in person and can say its definitely a cool unit to have in anyones collection.
I have used the tractor to drive to a restaurant in our community. It is always a hit. BTW the tractor has 2 PTOs. one runs when the rear wheels are turning and the other can be engaged to run when the engine is running.
