Presented as an entry-level model alongside Porsche’s flagship 911 sports car, the 912 shared the same bodywork and featured a 1,600cc flat-four which was lightweight, highly efficient, and easier to maintain. This 1967 example underwent refurbishment under prior ownership in California, including a refinish in yellow over black upholstery, an engine rebuild, and the addition of Mahle heads, Mahle pistons, and a fuel injection system. Acquired by its most recent owner in Canada approximately 8 years ago and reportedly driven approximately 1k miles since, this 912 is now available for auction by the selling dealer out of British Columbia.
The exterior is said to have been refinished in yellow under prior ownership in California. As an early 1967 model, the car exhibits some of the earliest Porsche 911/912 styling characteristics including chrome bumperettes, chrome pushbutton door handles, body moldings with thin rubbing strips, and silver-colored windshield wiper arms parked on the passenger side. Other details include a polished driver’s side mirror, chrome headlight rings, pop-out rear quarter windows, front vent windows, and 15” chrome ventilated wheels. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Inside, the driver is situated within a black leatherette interior. Grey inserts adorn the seats and dashboard trim panel, while charcoal carpeting lines the floor. Equipment also includes an Alcantara-wrapped MOMO steering wheel with a yellow 12 o’clock marker, tan headliner, sun visors with a passenger’s side mirror, roll-up windows, and lap belts. The seller notes the floorboards have been replaced, the driver’s seat cushion is slightly sagging, and the speedometer and odometer are currently inoperable.
Power comes from a dual-carbureted 1,600cc flat-four engine which is said to have been rebuilt under prior ownership and upgraded with Mahle heads, Mahle pistons, and a fuel injection system. The rear wheels are driven through a 5-speed manual transmission.
This 912 is offered with a Canadian registration and a spare tire.
The seller would like you to know: “Bid on this car with confidence. It’s ready for its new owner. It was purchased out of San Diego, California, approximately 8–9 years ago, this 912 was driven back to British Columbia, where its owner maintained it for the next eight years. Aside from routine fluid changes, minimal maintenance was required. The engine was fully rebuilt in California under previous ownership, with the car acquired at 1,800 miles on the new engine. The Canadian owner has since added fewer than 10,000 miles. During the rebuild, a fuel injection system was installed."

@Bruce914 10k miles within 8 years of owning it
Nice car - is it 1k miles in 8 years or 10k miles? I see both. Floors are ugly but functional. Is that a VW fan shroud - looks wrong. GLWS

Hello everyone! Welcome to my auction! I have this 1967 Porsche 912 Coupe. Its got that dog leg transmission, drives really well. The first day i picked it up i drove over 5 hours home with it, and it was an experience! it was so much fun! The Speedo on this car works but not the ODO, its just kinda stuck on 19322 miles. But everything else on the vehicle is great. Turns over on a dime. Overall exterior and interior condition is marvelous. The colour on this car really pops. I've gotten countless looks and thumbs up with this car through my short period of owning it. Wish i could keep them all! Compression tested excellent and its ready for its next owner! I have all the necessary contacts to get this car over the border for you. And if this car is staying in Canada we'll help you arrange transport. Bid with confidence! She's a beauty.

A cosmetic item incorrect: "body moldings with thin rubbing strips,". The side rubber strip/chrome is correct. The front and rear are the wide rubber/chrome strip from the 911S models. There should be a "912" emblem like in photo 35 under right side of glove box lid on the flat facia, which should be polished (brushed?) chrome, almost looking like aluminum. The "912" would be bright chrome as on engine lid. Spare tire is correct size @ 165, the mounted tires "195s", not correct. Current year 911s came with 185s, Michelin XWXs IIRC. No radio, maybe accounts for fabric/leather dash finish?, gotta cover the hole. While steering wheel replacement was common, is there an original steering wheel for this car? Small stuff, if looking for originality.

Truly unfortunate that the California owner didn’t respray in the original bahama yellow! Bahama yellow is SO MUCH better than just ‘yellow’. Fuel injection is an interesting twist, looks weird, but I’m sure is less finicky than the carbs!
Fun looking driver. Looks like it was originally Bahama yellow and the engine number looks correct to be original. Probably a May 1967 build date. Floor repairs are ugly but functional; easy but $$$$$ fix!
