Up for auction is this custom 1967 Porsche 911 Coupe finished in Aetna Blue. The result of over 4,000 hours of painstaking work, this 1967 example has been transformed into the one-of-a-kind 911 LWB widebody we see today by restoration expert Brad Baldwin of Los Angeles. It features a custom Camel basketweave leather interior, flared fenders, a front mounted Carrera oil cooler, high-performance exhaust system, long wheelbase Carrera suspension, upgraded lighting, and a 3.4L twin-plug flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed 915 manual transmission. Recently featured at Monterey Car Week in California, this custom 911 is now being offered for auction with under 100 miles traveled since the completion of the restoration.
This 911 was stripped to bare metal and refinished in Aetna Blue, a rare classic Porsche color originally offered on the 356 models of the early 1960s. All the original metal bodywork is said to have been retained including the bumpers, and wide steel fender flares were added along with a center fuel filler in the hood and a custom 1972-style external oil filler on the right rear quarter panel. Other additions include modern LED projector headlights, Hella driving lights, silver Porsche side graphics, and custom deep dish 15” Fuchs wheels finished in silver and dressed in Pirelli P7 tires. 12-year SunTek ceramic infused premium self-healing paint protection film has been installed along with 11.5 mil protection film on the rear quarter flares.
The cabin has been completely redone with new Camel basketweave leather upholstery and Oatmeal square weave carpeting. The center dashboard and instrument surround are painted in Aetna Blue along with the backs of the bucket seats. A performance aluminum shifter was also added as well as an upgraded electric air conditioning and heating system.
Power comes from a custom-built 3.4L flat-six engine with twin-plug ignition, 50 PMO triple carburetors, and a high-performance exhaust system. The rear wheels are driven through a rebuilt 5-speed 915 manual gearbox. The custom side oil filler tank connects to hard oil lines through the rockers leading to a Carrera front oil cooler. A long wheelbase suspension setup has been installed as well. The seller confirms that less than 100 miles have been driven since the rebuilds of the engine and gearbox.
Fresh off the rotisserie, this showstopping 1967 911 custom is just waiting to be driven, displayed, and enjoyed. Do not miss your chance to become its very first owner.

really beautiful color combo... That blue is so choice!
@ehd911 Good morning,
That is my question. What is the conversion? Did you use a LWB chassis or “ pan”? If so, I hope it would be one of the later years that were galvanized coared at the factory.
I have a couple very well known Porsche Specials and Outlaws. This car hits it out of the park! Again great taste.
@Jet2jeff2 Correct; it's a SWB car that was converted to a LWB car, as part of the build.
I love this build. Great taste and details are very well chosen and executed.
Question:
How is it a long wheel base as ‘67s are short chassis cars which went to LWB in ‘69?
@Mrty77 Aetna Blue

@Pbor1477 6003
@ehd911 correct. There are 2 color codes. Just wondering which one was used on this car. Thanks
@Pbor1477 Aetna Blue is a Porsche 356 color (1960-1961) -- see details & codes here - https://www.rennbow.org/colorwiki/AetnaBlue
Which color code Aetna blue is this? I believe there were two different ones

Beautifully done 911. Saw it at PB Concours Village. Know it's a "work of art" when my wife sees it and says "ok, you can get THAT car!" . She's also told me I can empty my garage and order a Singer! BUT as much as I'd like to, not what I'm looking for right now. @ehd911 amazingly photo documented work detail. I think you'd be well served with value added to provide written description of the motor build also. I'll be following for future reference. GLWA!

@Wdn It has a clean AZ title. Also, note that we will be happy to arrange a vetted, top-tier transporter for the buyer at our wholesale rate (COD, no pre-pay).
@ACSATCO I see the new videos are live. We have also uploaded additional image gallery photos to Pcar; thus if you viewed the gallery prior to today, another pass will provide more insight.
Thank u, looking at shipping numbers.
is it titled in ca?
@Wdn It's in LA.
@ACSATCO I uploaded a driving & drone video to Pcar last night; have been in the air traveling from Monterey -- should be up soon (if not already).
It was just in Monterey as I saw it at car week so I’m going to go with it’s on the West Coast in LA when not being shown
may be a stupid question, is the car in LA or Alabama? im in florida.
Bid in the amount of $94,500
would love a driving video of this one. few clips in the cockpit and it driving by. that will be very helpful and appreciated if possible
I saw this car in dowtown Carmel on Tuesday at Concourse on the Avenue and what a beautiful build. The attention to detail is amazing! You really have to look the car over to see the subtle things that have been done to the car. Good luck with the sale and I am sure it will ring the bell.
@550bryan I'm 6'1"/210 and the seats are as comfortable as any we have experienced in this style seat; they offer more leg-room, and are adjustable unlike some similar style seats (FWIW, while displaying the car at Pebble Beach, a larger individual loved the cockpit fit, feel & ergonomics).
@Hrkanter Aluminum Carrera suspension with Bilstein sport struts/shocks and 28mm rear/22mm front torsion bars.
really a great cohesive project put together with a lot of love from the looks of it.
i've seen a few of brads restorations and they're just on a whole different level. the quality and attention to detail raises the bar with every build he does. i saw this car in person in monterey/carmel last week and it DOES NOT disappoint!
The highlight of Monterey Car Week for me. Incredible build.
Can you please review suspension details done. Thanks
Bid in the amount of $90,000
I love everything g about this build, except have reservations whether my 6''3" 220 lbs frame would fit and be comfortable in these seats.
Bid in the amount of $77,777
@Alarson11 Yes; we have been at Pebble Beach all week (including today). We are next to the media center.
Monterey car week is still today. Can I see this car there? Or is it already in Alabama?
