Now available for auction is this 1967 Porsche 911S racecar. Reported to have spent most of its time in California and Florida, this 1967 example is believed to have been converted to a purpose-built racecar many years ago with an Andial race-prepped 69’ 911T motor which has since been recently refreshed. Now residing in Georgia where it has been used for occasional track days by its current owner over the last 7 years, this 911S racecar is now being offered for auction accompanied by assorted spare parts, extra Fuchs wheels, and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
This 911S was refinished in its factory specified special-order color of Tangerine (P2002) at some point under previous ownership. Modifications include louvered pop-out rear quarter windows, front and rear window braces, 911R-style taillights, a 911R-style front bumper with cooling duct inserts, headlight covers, a center-fill hood with tie-downs, and rear fender flares which were installed to accommodate wider Fuchs wheels. Brand new Hoosier tires are currently installed and an additional set of orange-painted Fuchs wheels will also be included in the sale.
The cabin has been partially stripped-out and made race-ready with the addition of a roll cage, a fire suppression system, a MOMO racing steering wheel, track-oriented instrumentation, and racing bucket seats with orange harnesses. The seller indicates all gauges and accessories to be working properly.
This 1967 example has been fitted with an Andial race-prepped 1969 911T flat-six motor paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Upgrades include a twin-plug ignition system, Turbo lower valve covers, long-tube headers with megaphone mufflers, a fuel safe, and a custom oil vent tank. Dual master brake cylinders have been installed as well. The engine was recently refreshed by MotorWerks in Georgia with the following service items:
There have been no hours added since the refresh and this 911 is said to be in excellent running order having been historically maintained by Andial in California and by Klubsport racing in Florida.
This sale will include several boxes of assorted spare parts, extra Fuchs wheels, a Porsche COA, and a bill of sale. This nicely built 1967 race car is the perfect track-day vehicle for any classic 911 enthusiast, don't miss out.

@Studio13 You can get a title in California , for example, but then you have to deal with tax, annual property tax, etc. You can get a title only for off road as well. Keep in mind when you go through the process of obtaining a title, others could claim the car, even if not stolen. In Massachusetts I hear it is very very difficult. In CA you need headlights, windshield wipers, horn, seat belts (not for this car), license plate light, reverse light, running lights, reflectors, muffler. Not too difficult, and it would be nice to be able to drive a race car to the track (assuming you could change rims there). Finding the original engine case and trans might be the only way it would make sense to go back to stock, but those numbers have been posted since early 2013 with no luck yet. For racing this car, I think an aluminum case 67 or 68 would be best to build upon and become legal in more vintage classees , i.e. CSRG.
There is no title available and none will be provided. However, that doesn't mean that this car cannot be put back on the road legally. Each state is different and I encourage you to check how to get this car registered and titled in your state if that's something that interests you. Many people want to keep it as a pure race car and other want to investigate getting it back on the road. Good luck either way.
Can you get a title?

@scuderia - owner estimates the size of the fuel cell to be approx. 10 gallons. Owner is 6 ft tall, 210 pounds and fits in the seat fine. Don't know how they designate the seats (Med, Large, XL) etc. No documented race history or log books. Current displacement is believed to be 2.2L. Motor has been lightly broken in and sorted since rebuild but no track time or anything aggressive. Correct - no title - sold on bill of sale only. Hope that covers things.
@twickes40 - owner is going to try to get to the track and do some laps but it very dependent on the weather so no guarantees. He'll give it his best shot.
@RonSusser awesome
@moezilla - at one point, I was marketing this car with a spare motor as you indicated. That is a beautifully prepared '67 911S motor which is still available for additional purchase. I'd be glad to discuss that with you offline if you have interest since it is not included with this sale.
Sorry I was out of pocket today. I had a personal matter to attend to (260 miles away - 520 miles round trip.) Long day.
Too bad the early alum case 67S motor was recently sold off. (or maybe it is available from the seller?) Need to find another! Anyone have a case?

Could you upload a cold start/driving video?
Beautiful 911. Can you please tell me the capacity of the fuel cell, size of the drivers seat. Is there any racing history? Log book? Current displacement? Has the motor been broken in or tested, dyno'd? No Title, bill of sale only? Thank you.

@twickes40 - paint is in exceptional condition (for a racecar), and even exceptional condition if it was not a racecar. Some minor scratches or chips as you'd expect but overall quite exceptional. The pictures are very clear and show the condition of the paint very well.
Ron - an you describe the condition of the paint?
@rreasen - it's not the type of car that records 0-60mph times or top speed. The speed is very dependent on the gearing which is dependent on the track on which it is being driven.
Do you have any acceleration or top speed data you can share?
Good evening everyone. It's my pleasure to be representing the owner of this great 1967 911S racecar. I'll be glad to get your questions answered promptly. Good luck to all and Happy bidding and Happy Thanksgiving.
