Introduced alongside the Porsche 911 in 1965, the 912 debuted as an entry-level sports car that combined classic 911 styling cues, superior weight distribution, nimble handling abilities, and increased fuel range. Equipped with full mechanical running gear and an interior featuring Corbeau racing seats and a roll cage, this example is being offered at no reserve as a project car by its seller out of New York showing just over 49k miles on the odometer.
Boasting the iconic styling of the 911, this 912 comes finished in blue accented with navy and orange racing stripes and various stickers. Appointments include chrome brightwork, a driver’s side mirror, and a set of Fuchs wheels mounted with General Altimax RT43 tires. Several imperfections are noted, and detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior features black leather upholstery along the door panels, dashboard, and steering wheel. An optional 5-gauge instrument cluster features an ambient temperature gauge to the left of the 3-gauge cluster and a clock to the right. Aftermarket equipment includes Corbeau racing seats, aluminum pedals, and a black-finished roll cage with a fire extinguisher. Signs of wear are shown throughout, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
A 1600cc flat-four engine is fitted from the earlier Porsche 356 model, rated at approximately 90 HP sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. While mechanical elements are present, this example is offered as a project car as the engine is currently inoperable.
This sale will include a clean title.

Respectfully picture 64 is most certainly a structural issue that needs to be addressed (and this car doesn't have a "frame"). Absolutely still a viable project but not sure how helpful overselling the car is to achieving the highest sale price.

Any chance for some frame shots. I'd be concerned about "where" the rust was.
Hi. The engine does run but it has excessive thrust washer play in the crankshaft, so it is very noisy and not advisable to run the engine. There is rust on the frame but nothing as a major structural issue.
Any older parts come w the car. IE. 3 gauge instrument Cloister??
When was the engine last running? What is known about its failure? Any known structural issues with the chassis, etc.? Thanks an GLWA!
