We are pleased to present this unique 1966 Porsche 911 coupe finished in Polo Red over a black leatherette interior.  This number’s matching 1966 example was originally purchased from Competition Motors in North Hollywood by television music composer Jerrold Immel.  Having been under the care of its original owner since new, this 911 is accompanied by an extensive collection of documentation including service records, the original bill of sale and California pink slip.  Stated to be in great highly original condition, this stunning one-owner 911 is now being offered for auction showing approximately 75k miles on the odometer.

The Polo Red finish is stated by the seller to be in great highly original condition with some signs of appropriate wear.  A collection of detailed images is provided in the photo gallery.  This classic 911 features chrome brightwork, chrome windshield wipers and chrome wheels which were dealer-installed back in 1968.  These wheels are currently dressed in an older set of Michelin tires.

Inside, this 911 is appointed with a black leatherette interior featuring black leather seats with houndstooth upholstered inserts. Options include seatbelts, an external mirror and a radio.  The cabin is noted to be in excellent condition with all gauges, electrical components and accessories remaining fully functional.

This 911 carries its original 2.0 L flat-six carbureted engine which sends approximately 130 HP to the rear wheels by way of a number’s matching 4-speed manual transmission.  Accompanied by an extensive collection of service records showing routine maintenance and proper upkeep, this 911 is said to be in excellent running order.  The seller notes that a full standard service will be carried out upon sale.

The sale of this 911 coupe will include a set of two keys, original books and tools and service records from new.  Also included is the original the bill of sale, California pink slip and Kardex file as well as a rare radio antenna lock which has never been used.  This beautifully preserved and well documented 1966 911 makes the perfect choice for any vintage Porsche aficionado.

@csalomon I will see if I can get that for you before the auction ends.

  • Ncrstopflight (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@bend356 I have asked the shop to perform that test. I’m hoping they get it done before auction ends. I have nothing in the documents that came with the car showing interior replacement.

Thanks for adding the paint-meter pictures. Do you have some pictures of the paint-meter on the critical parts (rocker panels, the rear window corners)? The parts you have checked on the pictures are usualy good and so are not critical.
    Thanks.

Were you able to get compression and leak down numbers and can you answer the questions on the originality of the interior?

I think we need much more informations to go further. Lots of things are not original anymore, unfortunately. Did you ckeck the 911 with a filler detective or a paint meter?

  • Ncrstopflight (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@bend356 I will se if I can get the compression test done today. The records I got with the car show a lot of maintenance, plugs, oil change, gaskets, battery, tires. And early warranty type work.

  • bend356 (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

Looks like at least the carpet and front seats have been redone. Can you verify that? How about other interior items like dash and headliner?

  • bend356 (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

Do you have compression and leak down numbers on the engine? Do you know whether the engine and transmission have ever been rebuilt and if so by whom?

  • Ncrstopflight (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@Spokayman I bought it to resell from individual selling for family. It’s is at a reputable long time Porsche Service Center in Baltimore. I relied on their extensive expertise in the inspection of the car . You or anyone else is welcome to view the car if needed. Thanks

  • Spokayman (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

Just to be clear @Ncrstopflight, you are selling an original owner car but you’re not THE original owner? Perhaps you’re a dealer, a friend of the owner?
The point is, are you able to talk to the actual original owner to very the car’s history (major repairs, damage, repainted, refurbishments, etc)?

  • Ncrstopflight (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@csalomon I will see if I can get paint-meter on Monday. Did not get any extra parts with it..

  • csalomon (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

Nice 911 but unfortunately not as original as it should. Not so old respray, carburators are not the orginal ones, neither seats covers. Do you know if there is bondo/filler somewhere? Did you check the car with a paint-meter or magnet? Do you have the original radio and carbs?

  • uolddog 4 years, 5 monthsago

Clearly a respray look at the VIN tags... they verify the respray.

  • rsamerica (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

That is not original paint, not enough patina for miles and year.

  • Ncrstopflight (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@scuderia From very close inspection it does not appear that it has had anybody work done. I have only owned this car for a month I have no way to factually determine how much of the paint is or isn’t original. If any paint work was done it had to be a long time ago because the paint is very consistent from front to back.

  • scuderia (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

Any body/paint work been done? Thank you

  • Ncrstopflight (seller) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@joshuaycrs I will have a video up on Monday or Tuesday I am out of town this weekend.

  • joshuaycrs (registered bidder) 4 years, 5 monthsago

@Ncrstopflight would be nice to see a video of her starting, running and driving. Thanks

Can we have some pictures of the undercarriage and with the carpets removed in the interior and front trunk?
