Available for auction is this fully restored 1966 Lola T70 Mk2 Spyder - chassis SL71/33. It is one of only 33 ever produced and comes finished in white with red and blue accents. Built in June 1966 with Group 7 specifications, it was originally delivered to John Mecom Racing and enjoyed a historic motorsport career prior to restoration in 2010. Reported to be in good operating condition and coming with all original documents and race logs, this rare T70 Spyder is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida
This Lola is finished in white with blue and red accents, along with a distinguishing black and red number “22” on the hood and doors. It rides on 15” rims that are currently dressed in Avon rain tires. Two distinctive rearview mirrors sit on the front quarter panels along with a third mirror on the windscreen. Additionally, a black roll bar sits behind the driver for safety. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cockpit sports a bare-metal look throughout and offers a quilted leather racing seat along with a Simpson safety harness to keep the driver secure. Notable interior items include quick access to the lighting, cooling system, fuel system, and master disconnect switches. All gauges and accessories are reported to be working properly.
Power comes from a carbureted 365ci Chevrolet small block V8 paired with a Hewland LG500 4-speed manual gearbox driving the rear wheels. The following racing history was provided by the seller:

I can tell you the reserve is extremely reasonable for an original Lola T70 MK2 especially as rare as the car is.
