Available for auction is this 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe finished in Dark Pewter over a black vinyl interior. This first-generation Mustang was acquired out of North Carolina in late 2021 and is said to have been fully refurbished under previous ownership including new paint, a reupholstered interior, custom mag wheels, a modern digital stereo, and a built 289ci small-block V8 paired with a rebuilt 3-speed automatic transmission and manual valve body. This early Mustang is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.
This Mustang Coupe comes finished in a Dark Pewter base with a clear coat and double black stripes running down the top. Equipment includes chrome bumpers, side ornamentation, dual tailpipes, and custom 15” mag wheels dressed in Uniroyal tires. The finish is described to be in excellent condition, additional images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin comes trimmed in black vinyl with matching carpets and perforated inserts for the bucket seats. Features include a center console, wind-up windows, lap belts, a three-spoke steering wheel, and an upgraded digital stereo designed to appear original. All gauges and accessories are said to remain fully functional.
Power comes from a 289ci small-block V8 engine which drives the rear wheels by way of a rebuilt C4 3-speed automatic transmission. The C4 transmission has been fitted with a manual valve body, allowing the driver to shift through gears manually. The seller notes the transmission modification is reversible and can be reverted back to automatic operation by the next owner. Stopping power comes from disc brakes front and rear.
This sale will include a clean title.
