A compact and lightweight utility vehicle initially designed for military applications, the original Austin Mini Moke was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) from 1964 to 1968 before production was continued overseas until 1993. This 1966 example is an authentic British-made Mini Moke finished in red over a black lefthand drive interior. It features an enlarged 1,083cc A-series engine, an aluminum radiator, an SU carburetor, a 4-speed manual gearbox, a three-spoke Mountney steering wheel, Ultralite alloy wheels, and a Bluetooth stereo system. This classic British icon is now being offered for auction by its seller out of California.

The Mini Moke was designed by Sir Alec Issigonis and John Sheppard, creators of the original Austin Mini. It features boxy low-slung bodywork and side rails with integrated locking storage compartments. This example is finished in red and equipped with a black Bimini-style soft top, dual chrome mirrors, chrome headlight rings, a fender-mounted antenna, and Ultralite 10” alloy wheels mounted with 165/70 Falken FK-07E tires. The seller indicates the soft top is sagging and the next owner may wish to replace it.

The cabin offers space for four passengers with black vinyl seats and a matching padded dashboard. Accessories include front lap belts, grab handles, black rubber floor mats, a three-spoke Mountney steering wheel, replacement Smiths gauges, an air horn, and a digital Bluetooth stereo.

Originally displacing 848cc, the A-Series inline-four engine in this Moke has reportedly been rebuilt to a 1,083cc displacement and fitted with an SU carburetor and an aluminum radiator. The front wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transaxle and drum brakes are fitted at each corner.

This sale will include a clean title.

The seller would like you to know:  "This is a fantastic cruiser, it may look underpowered, but it is an absolute blast to drive!"

Always a great sight to see one of these original Mokes on here instead of the new electric ones that only have a top speed of 25mph.

Hi everyone! This is G with Heritage Gruppe, we're happy to present this stunning Moke here on Pcarmarket on behalf of the owner.

This Moke is one of the most fun cars I've ever driven and that's because of the wide open cabin and that very torquey engine it has! This is a great cruiser for the beach cities and would make a great rental for someone looking to make some extra cash.

The car runs and drives great and is looking for its next caretaker!

If you have any questions feel free to message us directly or leave a comment below and we'll get back to all of you as soon as we can.

For those local to SoCal, If you'd like to see the car in person we just ask that you're the highest bidder, and for test drives we ask for proof of funds for the full amount of the car. Otherwise we are available for viewings Monday - Friday 10am to 6pm

    Happy bidding!
