This 1965 Shelby Cobra replica is a Lone Star Classics build finished in red metallic paint over diamond-stitched black leather upholstery. It features a 351 Windsor V8 engine which has been bored out to 427ci and paired with a 6-speed Tremec manual gearbox and a 9” Ford limited-slip rear end. It also showcases a Wilwood brake kit, coilover suspension, and black powdercoated American Racing wheels. Benefitting from major recent services including a transmission rebuild, a new clutch, brakes, and a fuel pump, this high-performance Cobra replica is now being offered for auction out of California.
The Lone Star Classic fiberglass bodywork is reportedly 4” longer and wider than most Cobra replicas and is finished in metallic red paint with a black racing stripe and ghosted racing numbers on each side. The underside of the hood also features a custom-painted graphic. Other equipment includes black quick-jack bumperettes, dual exhaust side pipes, fender vents, a hood scoop, LED headlights, wind wings, dual black roll hoops, a polished fuel cap, and black powdercoated 17” American Racing Shelby Cobra wheels with faux knockoff spinners. The seller adds that new Michelin Pilot Sport All-Season tires were mounted about two years ago. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features a pair of black leather bucket seats with red diamond-stitched inserts and matching upholstery on the dashboard, door panels, and central tunnel sides. Accessories include a wood-rimmed four-spoke steering wheel, polished door handles and steering column stalks, a suede-covered center console, a Cobra-branded gear knob, a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, door panel storage pockets, a tinted driver’s sun visor, a fire extinguisher, and analog VDO gauges with a digital odometer.
Power comes from a 351 Windsor V8 that was bored to 427ci and features an Edelbrock carburetor, a chrome alternator, an aluminum radiator, straight-piped headers, and Cobra-branded valve and carburetor covers. The rear wheels are driven through a rebuilt 6-speed Tremec manual gearbox with a 9” Ford rear end, 3.70 gears, and a limited-slip differential. The car also features Wilwood disc brakes and adjustable coilover suspension. The seller indicates the transmission was recently rebuilt and the brakes were replaced along with the clutch, fuel pump, hoses, and belts.

@motofabio I believe that carfax has it incorrect, you can see the photo of the odometer is at 4600 miles. I believe the carfax was misread by the DMV because there's a decimal point on the digital gauge. The mileage is also on all of the service invoices and inspection paperwork and SB100 from the CHP which are included in the sale
Can you please comment on the mileage discrepancy? Last entry on CarFax says 43,412.
@ambone 550hp
Any more details on engine output?
@squi It has a 4-point harness, both lap and shoulder straps
I don’t see seatbelts, does it have lap or harnesses?

For California buyers, this car has a SB100 certificate (shown in photos) which allows you to be smog exempt. It took me 2 years to get.
