This Factory Five MkIII Roadster is a Shelby-authorized continuation of the iconic AC Cobra lineage. Constructed in 2011, it is powered by a 347ci Stroker V8 rated at 430 HP and paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. Finished in Metallic Grey over black leather upholstery, this example features additional upgrades, including an individual throttle body (ITB) Windsor EFI setup with a FAST EZ self-tuning system, Baer brake calipers with 11” SS4+ rotors, and Compomotive wheels. Registered as a 1965 Ford, this Factory Five is available for auction out of North Carolina with less than 23k miles showing on the odometer.
Styled after the iconic Shelby Cobra 427, this example finished in Metallic Grey with double silver racing stripes and features silver-painted roll hoops, chrome trim, wind wings, a hood scoop, and side exhaust pipes. It rides on Compomotive wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires from 2011. The seller notes that the hood was treated with aluminum underside plating in 2015 by Metal-Morphus of North Haven, Connecticut. Additionally, slight paint blemishes have been touched up, and the seller describes the exterior as presenting exceptionally well. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin is upholstered in black and includes two bucket seats with Simpson multi-point safety harnesses. The dashboard houses one toggle switch for the cooling fan, analog instrumentation, and two 3-position switches including one for the blower motor, one for the wipers, and a pushbutton for the horn. Other features include a heater, a storage compartment between the seats, a wood-trimmed Cobra-branded steering wheel, Cobra-branded floor mats, and a fire extinguisher mounted beneath the storage compartment.
The 5.0-liter V8 engine was reportedly rebuilt in 2021 with a 347 Stroker kit, producing an estimated 430 HP. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed BorgWarner T-5 manual transmission. Performance upgrades include an ITB Windsor EFI conversion installed in 2014 with a FAST EZ self-tuning system, as well as Baer brake calipers paired with 11” SS4+ vented, slotted, and drilled rotors added in 2021. All work is said to have been completed by Our Dream Auto Museum & Restorations in Mooresville, North Carolina.
This sale will include a car cover and a clean title listing the vehicle as a 1965 Ford.
The seller would like you to know: “I've owned 3 FFR Cobras over the years, and this one is my favorite of the three. The paintwork is exceptional, and the ITBs really add to the original look of the engine bay, as well as provide the performance to match. The new owner will also enjoy the power steering and the Baer brake system. I have kept this Cobra on my 4-post storage lift under its FFR-fitted indoor cover. The decals on the sides of the car are vinyl, so if they do not suit you or if you'd like a different number, you can remove and/or replace them :)”

@eight_bit_micro,
You are correct it has the Fox body GT 8.8" rear end and brakes - making it a 2.73 gear ratio with drum brakes.
The driver's seat is fixed but can comfortably accommodate someone up to six feet tall. My last Mark II Cobra had a fixed driver seat as well and I ordered some seat tracks from Amazon and made it adjustable 😎
Happy bidding everyone!
Greg
@Billbletz,
I am 5' 8" and have plenty of room.
I'd say if you're 6 foot or less you'd be comfortable 👍
Greg
@preachhames I can't tell from the pictures but I'm guessing this is a Fox body 8.8" rear end based on the 4-lug setup. Is that accurate? Also, do you know the gear ratio and what brakes are in back? And finally, are the seats adjustable or are they fixed? Thank you and good luck.

How tall are you ?
Any issues fitting in the drivers seat?

Good morning everyone!
With 1 day to go, I'm pleased to see the bid is at least up to the value of the ITB fuel injection system on the 347 stroker engine - LOL!
In all seriousness, I have had the opportunity to reply to a number of questions through PcarMarket's messaging system.
Thank you for your interest and please reach out if you're curious about any aspect of this 1965 titled FFR Cobra Mk3.

@needanothercar,
Thanks for asking - they are vinyl decals with an adhesive back and are easily removed by simply peeling them off.
After removal, the area can be cleaned with a liquid or paste wax with absolutely no damage or discoloration of the paint.
Greg
Can the decals be removed without damaging the paint?

They are a load of fun!!!
good looking car, with some nice goodies. As a former owner of a MK3, dollars per smile on these is unparalleled .
"a Shelby-authorized continuation of the iconic AC Cobra lineage" is a bit of a stretch though. I remember the lawsuits and ruling
