Up for auction is this Factory Five MkIII Roadster. Registered as a 1965 Ford, this Factory Five Roadster is a Shelby-authorized continuation of the original AC-built Cobra series. This MkIII Roadster is said to have been constructed in 2012 from the ground-up with a full tubular steel chassis and fiberglass bodywork finished in the signature theme of Metallic Blue with White racing stripes. It features an independent rear suspension, coilovers, four-wheel disc brakes, and a Ford 347 Stroker motor paired with a Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. The car was purchased by its current owner from a dealer in New Mexico over three years ago and has been driven approximately 300 miles since. Now showing just under 13k miles on the odometer, this Factory Five Cobra replica is now being offered for auction by its seller out of New York.
Styled after the iconic Shelby Cobra 427, the fiberglass bodywork is finished in Metallic Blue with double White racing stripes and features quick-jack bumperettes, a chrome driver’s roll hoop, wind wings, a hood scoop, and side exhaust pipes. A small blemish is noted on the rear deck along with some road-going wear on the lower front end, detailed images are provided in the photo gallery. This Roadster rides on Halibrand-style 15” knock-off wheels dressed in Goodyear Eagle #1 Nascar tires with white lettering.
The cabin is upholstered in black and includes two bucket seats with multi-point safety harnesses. The dashboard houses toggle switches, a pushbutton ignition, and analog instrumentation. Other features include a passenger-side glovebox, a leather-wrapped AC-branded steering wheel, AC-branded pedal covers, and a fire extinguisher mounted beneath the dashboard. The seller recommends the emergency brake lever be adjusted.
A carbureted 347ci Ford Stroker motor sends power to the rear wheels through a Tremec 5-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential. The tubular steel frame is outfitted with an independent rear suspension, adjustable coilovers, and disc brakes at all four corners. The seller notes that routine oil changes have been carried out and reports that a replacement air filter, spark plugs, distributor cap, and rotor will accompany the sale.
This Roadster will be accompanied by a bill of sale and a transferrable New York registration. Offering upgraded performance and the unmistakable styling of the Shelby Cobra, this Factory Five Roadster is just waiting to be enjoyed by a new owner.

What is the difference between a MK III and a MK IV?
It is not a MK IV. I believe it is a MK III.
