Available for auction is this 1965 BMW 2000C finished in Polaris Silver over a Dark Blue leather interior. BMW’s New Class or Neue Klasse cars introduced the M10 4-cylinder engine as well as the signature Hofmeister Kink, and helped to establish the identity of BMW's sports cars. This 1965 European specification 2000C Coupe is said to have remained under the care of its previous owner for the last 22 years before being acquired by the selling dealer and is now being offered for auction out of Missouri.
The bodywork of this 2000C was built by Karmann and comes finished in Polaris Silver. The paint and chrome brightwork are said to remain in good overall condition and the seller reports that the body appears to have been refinished at some point in the past. A bit of rust is noted at the point where the floors meet the inner rocker panels, and some other minor imperfections have been depicted in the gallery. Details include a single fender-mounted side view mirror, chrome wraparound bumpers, and 14” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps. The wheels are dressed in a set of Kumho tires from 2022.
The cabin is upholstered in Dark Blue leather with matching carpets and door panels, accented by wood trim. The cabin shows wear commensurate with its age including peeling of the wood trim and tears in the driver’s seat. Accessories include a suite of VDO instrumentation, a wood-rimmed Grant GT steering wheel, a heater, and a period Philips AM/FM radio. The seller confirms that all gauges and accessories remain functional, although the radio antenna is missing.
Power is derived from BMW’s venerable M10 2.0L OHC 4-cylinder engine. The rear wheels are driven by way of an optional 3-speed automatic transmission. The 2000C features fully independent front and rear suspension as well as front disc brakes. The seller reports a new battery and tie-down appear to have been installed recently.
This sale will include a clean title.

5 hours left everybody! Does anyone have any final questions?
@PCMarket Specifications list this as a manual transmission. The pictures clearly indicate it is an automatic. Please clarify.
@Classique07 A new video has been added to the listing page.
Is there a startup / running video of the car available? Thank you.
