This 1963 Porsche 356B Coupe is the subject of a custom restoration by its previous owner in California including an upgraded 2.7-liter VW Type 4 engine with crank-fired ignition, sequential fuel injection, twin 45mm throttle bodies, Raby cylinder heads, JE Pistons, H-beam rods, and a dyno-tuned exhaust. It has been refinished in black over light grey leather upholstery and features widened rear fenders, 16” VTO wheels, bolstered sport seats, a wood-trimmed steering wheel, air conditioning, power windows, an AM/FM Bluetooth stereo, 4-piston Wilwood brakes, early 911S suspension, adjustable shocks, 26mm Sway-A-Way torsion bars, and a 5-speed 901 manual transmission with custom gear ratios. This tastefully upgraded and modified 356B is now being offered for auction out of the San Francisco Bay Area.
The exterior has been stripped to bare metal, modified with wider rear fenders, and refinished in black paint. Accessories include dual polished mirrors, a twin-grille decklid, bumper and body molding deletes, and 16” VTO 8-spoke wheels. The wheels measure 8” wide at the rear and 7” wide in front with Firestone Firehawk tires sized 225/50 and 205/50 respectively. The seller notes the exterior and underside exhibit a show-quality finish; detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin has been redone with light grey leather upholstery including bolstered sport bucket seats and matching square weave carpeting. Accessories include a body-colored dash fascia, a wood-trimmed three-spoke steering wheel, a Porsche-crested gear knob, power window, air conditioning, an AM/FM Bluetooth stereo, refurbished VDO gauges, and black rubber floor mats.
Power comes from a VW Type 4 flat-four engine which has been rebuilt to a 2.7-liter displacement with JE pistons and NICOSR cylinders. The engine features crank-fired ignition, sequential fuel injection, Raby cylinder heads, H-beam connecting rods, ARP studs and case bolts, Pauter roller rockers, a dyno-tuned exhaust system, and Haltech engine management. A claimed output of 200 HP is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed Porsche 901 manual transaxle with custom gear ratios. The car also features Wiwood 4-piston brake calipers, cross-drilled and slotted rotors, a dual-circuit master cylinder, an early 911S suspension, adjustable shocks, and Sway-A-Way 26mm torsion bars.
This sale will include a spare tire and a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Welcome to my auction. I am selling this 356 Outlaw/Custom for the prior owner's family. The man who built this car from the ground up passed away I am selling the car for his wife. The owner was both creative and a talented mechanic. This is a beautiful 356 build. CWSconsulting”

Surprised this hasn’t gone in the stratosphere. Maybe everyone is waiting til the last minute to bid. I saw this car at EASY in Emeryville. Very impressive, & on par with a Emory Outlaw. Gaps are perfect with attention to detail.

I don't see it specifically mentioned, but I would imagine that with all the accessories that have been added to this car including a/c and power windows, that it has been converted to a 12 volt electrical system. Can you confirm whether or not this is the case?
Speaking of the a/c, where are the controls to operate the system? Is it the two buttons on either side of the central vent where the radio would normally be? And the AM/FM Bluetooth radio is where - in the glove box?
No front license plate holder? Aren't front license plates mandatory in CA?
Where in the Bay Area is this car located?
Thanks.
The rear fenders are steel butt welded on the body. I will have more engine specs shortly cwsconsultig
