The second generation of Chevrolet’s Corvette sports car, the C2, introduced the iconic Stingray name and debuted all-new styling and a new chassis with improved steering, brakes, and suspension. It was designed by Larry Shinoda, largely inspired by the Jaguar E-Type and the original Corvette XP-87 Stingray racing concept car of 1959. Fitted with a 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine and a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission, this 1963 example is finished in white over a black interior. This Stingray is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Colorado.
Factory finished in Ermine White (936), this Stingray underwent professional white refinishing under previous ownership approximately seven years ago. The equipment includes a black retractable soft top, a removable hardtop, flip-up headlamps, quad taillights, chrome bumperettes, and side-exit exhaust pipes with heated shields. Custom “cookie sheet” functional hood vents have been fitted, and the car rides on Halibrand-style 15” wheels with faux knock-off spinners and BFGoodrich Comp T/A tires. The seller states the car was stolen and recovered in the 1970s.
The black-upholstered cabin has been modified with Recaro leather seats and a suite of Dakota digital gauges. Equipment includes an aftermarket shifter, a cassette stereo, and lap belts for the driver and passenger. The trim tag provides the following information:
A 6.2-liter LS3 engine sourced from a 2014 model-year vehicle was fitted in 2023 and equipped with an aluminum radiator and revised engine covers. The rear wheels are driven through a Tremec TKX 5-speed manual transmission with a hydraulic clutch. Tubular headers flow to a side-exit exhaust system, and an aftermarket fuel tank was installed as part of the build. The equipment includes front coilovers and tubular A-arms, a revised rear leaf spring and suspension bushings, Borgeson power steering, and power-assisted disc brakes.
This sale will include a branded title.

I can tell this is a good quality build, and would be a great driver, all the complaints from the past auction is typical of bat audience, haters, trying to find faults when there are none, to drive the price down, it doesn't happen when a dealer has the car just to flip it, I have built similar cars with 100k invested, no labor, you will do much better here on Pcar GLWTA
I will post some new videos soon and a lot of information can be found on the auction that ended for this C2

Hello and welcome to my auction for my 1963 Corvette roadster.
When I purchased this car 5 years ago it was a very clean and original 340HP 4 speed and a great running car however I decided it could be even better.
I installed a new Tremec TKX 5 speed transmission, tubular front A arms, power steering, tilt steering column, 4 wheel power disc brakes, Recaro leather seats and it was running great.
Then I decided a LS3 would be a great upgrade and I sent it to my friend Patrick atTK Corvettes for that upgrade and that was another great improvement.
I could have added air conditioning at the time, but felt it did not really need it.
I realize some people are going to want air conditioning so I had Patrick give me an estimate to add Vintage Air and it will run about $4K complete if anyone is interested.
I also designed and installed the breathable cookie sheets on the hood and have some extras available on Ebay: 1963 Corvette Ventilating Cookie Sheets | eBay
The car comes with a very pristine matching hard top that matches the car perfectly.
I will be available to answer questions, take pictures and or videos all week.
