Sporting a custom patinaed green finish, this 1963 Chevrolet C10 stepside pickup is a short-bed model fitted with a 400ci (6.6L) V8 engine paired with a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission. It features front disc brakes, power steering, a custom fabricated driveshaft, a retro-style Bluetooth stereo system, and a Vintage Air climate control system. Following the current owner’s purchase in 2022, the truck was fitted with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, coilover suspension, a Panhard bar, frame reinforcements, a bed-lift system, new brown seat upholstery, and Detroit Diesel Smoothie wheels. This custom 400ci V8-powered C10 pickup is now being offered for auction out of California.
The body is finished in green with "Gunners Rod Shop" door lettering. The faded paint and surface corrosion are preserved under a layer of clear coat. Equipment includes a short stepside bed, a driver’s side mirror, a black front bumper, a wood bed cover, and Detroit Diesel Smoothie wheels with a matching side-mounted spare. The wheels were fitted with new redline tires in May 2023. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features a reupholstered brown bench seat and three-point seatbelts installed under current ownership. Accessories include a black two-spoke steering wheel brushed-finish dashboard trim, aftermarket Dolphin instrumentation, a Vintage Air climate-control system, and a retro-style Bluetooth stereo paired with an amplifier behind the seat. The seller notes the carpeting, driver’s side window felt, and some switches were replaced under previous ownership along with the addition of cabin insulation and inner door handles. The turn signal switch and associated wiring were replaced in 2023.
A 400ci V8 engine was installed under previous ownership and has been fitted with a Holley Sniper EFI system, an aluminum radiator, finned valve covers, tubular headers, and a dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a TH400 3-speed automatic transmission and a custom-fabricated driveshaft. The engine bay and underbody are coated with a bedliner material, and the aluminum fuel tank and battery are protected by a fabricated metal frame beneath the bed cover. The frame has been fortified with welded reinforcements and notched for rear axle clearance. The truck is equipped with front disc brakes, rear drum brakes, power steering, coilover suspension, and a rear Panhard bar with Heim-joint links. In 2023, the truck was serviced with an oil change, a new A/C compressor, alternator, serpentine belt, ignition box mount, spark plugs, and battery.
