The Porsche 356 symbolizes the brand's lasting sports car legacy, establishing the groundwork for future models and remaining a cherished classic. Produced from 1959 to 1963, the 356B featured revised bodywork tailored to meet American market demands. This 1962 Porsche 356B Coupe features T6 bodywork and is now being offered for auction at no reserve as a potential project by its seller out of Virginia, accompanied by a clean title.
In mid-1962, the Porsche 356B was updated with T6 bodywork, characterized by a twin-grille rear decklid, a larger rear window, and an external fuel filler on the right front fender. This example is said to have originally been finished in Ivory, though the exterior now shows visible rust, corrosion, dents, and inconsistent panel gaps. Replacement panels include the doors, bumpers, and rear decklid. It rides on chrome aftermarket wheels, three of which retain chrome hubcaps. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
Previously outfitted with black upholstery, the cabin now shows extensive corrosion throughout. Remaining equipment includes a three-spoke steering wheel, dashboard panel, two analog gauges, a passenger grab handle, and remnants of the rear seatbacks.
The engine, transmission, and many chassis components have been removed from the vehicle, though remnants of a replacement transaxle and drum brake system remain. The seller reports having installed a fuel tank.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “The 1962 coupe in ivory was someone's cool ride, but suffered a front-end collision on the passenger side. It was parted out and left outside. The front end remained intact. I added a gas tank, wheels, lug nuts, doors, a transaxle with drums, chrome wheels, and hubcaps, as well as a decklid and bumpers. This is a ‘blank canvas’ which one can make into wall art or an outlaw.”

I was interested until they said it has "inconsistent panel gaps". Otherwise it's a gem.

@WillWedge yes the wheels are and straight.
Never mind. I see the wheels are aftermarket. Forgive me for having a little fun.
@GermanJalopies Oh I thought it had an engine. My bad. Are the date codes on the wheels correct for the VIN?
@WillWedge sorry those are engine components and this project doesn't have one. thanks being my first comment.
Please provide the capacitance reading of the ignition condenser and the remaining thickness, in mm, of the points. If there’s a DME report, I’ll take that too.
license plate and frame do not convey.

Make lawn art, shop art, a rat rod, put in an extended VW pan, make a couch, send to your favorite shop as a surprise present--the possibilities are endless...wish I had history on the car, but only know it was in virginia for a long time and sat on the ground after being wrecked in front.
