A tribute to the classic 1957 Porsche 356 Speedster, this Vintage Speedsters-built 2006 replica is finished in red over tan interior upholstery and pairs a 4-speed manual gearbox with its air-cooled flat four engine. Equipment includes chrome 15” slotted wheels, headlamp grilles, a rear luggage rack, a three-spoke banjo-style steering wheel, a sound system, and more. Acquired by the current owner approximately 15 years ago, this example is now being offered for auction by the selling dealer out of Illinois with approximately 3k miles showing on the odometer.
The exterior is finished in red and complemented with a tan soft top. Appointments include chrome trim, a driver’s side mirror, headlight cages, gold badging, and a luggage rack mounted to the rear decklid. The car rides on slotted 15” chrome wheels with Porsche-crested hubcaps. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features tan low-back bucket seats with matching door panels and carpets complemented by a body-color dashboard. Details include a body-colored lower dashboard, green-lettered analog gauges, a three-spoke banjo-style steering wheel, a passenger-side grab handle, roll-up windows, a radio, and a sound system.
Power comes from an air-cooled flat-four Volkswagen engine driving the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. Stopping is provided by drum brakes, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Beautiful color combination, very fun car to drive, and a reliable classic!”

@R-car4me
I’m trying to see if Park Place LTD can locate the original build sheet.
I believe so, but some were also built with 1900 cc engines
Thanks!
Hi
Is the VW motor a 1600cc?
Thanks a lot

Good Morning!
Here are the undercarriage photos of the Speedster.
I’ve also included photos of the front trunk area & battery compartment.
I forgot to mention there is a included boot cover and case for the side windows in addition to Porsche floor matts and battery tender connection.
Thank you!
I’m available anytime to answer any questions.
@Red76
Yes, I was able to get access to a lift this morning and shot undercarriage photos.
I will have them uploaded and online within the hour.

Vintage Speedsters was a company based in Hawaiian Gardens, California, that specialized in building high-quality replicas of classic Porsche 356 Speedsters, Spyders, and Coupes. They were known for their meticulous hand assembly and attention to detail, using a Beetle as their starting platform.
Vintage Speedsters' replicas were well-regarded in the automotive community, known for their quality and handling characteristics. They gained significant popularity, becoming a frontrunner in the 356A Porsche Speedster reproduction market within a decade of their establishment in 1995. By October 2006, they had manufactured and sold 2,000 cars and were shipping five cars per week.
Vintage Motorcars, another replica car manufacturer, later leased the old Vintage Speedsters facility at 12112 Centralia Rd, Hawaiian Gardens, CA. This facility continues to offer a full range of services including tune-ups, oil changes, bodywork, paint, and parts for Speedster, Spyder, and Coupe models. Vintage Motorcars has also kept on the old crew from Vintage Speedsters, ensuring the continued expertise and craftsmanship that were hallmarks of the original company.
Hi everyone,
Good news! After some investigation,
I was able to confirm the year and builder of this beauty!
It was built by Vintage Speedsters of Hawaiian Gardens California in 2006.
The car was sold by Park Place LTD in Bellevue Washington February 2006.
I've uploaded the original Safety inspection and service records which include the Vin & Stock number showing 10 miles on the odometer when it was delivered new.
Unfortunately Vintage Speedsters closed and was taken over by Vintage Motorcars of California Inc.
Vintage Motorcars records only go back to 2017, However I contacted Park Place LTD and they are trying to find additional information on the car.
I'm hoping to find a build sheet, but will update whatever I find.
For reference, I found a nearly identical car in silver sold on BaT in 3/5/24
Thanks & Happy Bidding!

Good morning!
I uploaded the photos you requested to PCar , they should be available shortly.
The car is titled as a 1967 Volkswagen and was built new for the previous owner around 15 years ago with only a few hundred miles on the odometer.
Yes, the rear luggage rack can be removed with 4 screws.
Thanks!
Good morning, a few items can you take a pic of the back seat when the top is up, also can the rear luggage rack come off. How does the title read year, make, model. Did you have it built or did you buy it new.
Thanks
