This 1961 Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi Deluxe underwent a full restoration in Brazil in 2023 before its importation to the U.S. in 2024. Powered by a 1.2-liter flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this Brazilian-market example is refinished in two-tone Palm Green and Sand Green over a two-tone green interior. It features body-color bumpers, a roof rack, 11 windows, including front Safari windows and pop-out side windows, 15” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, a cabin heater, and more. This Type 2 is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Georgia.

During its comprehensive rotisserie restoration, this example was refinished in custom two-tone Palm Green and Sand Green, complemented by matching bumpers. It features 11 windows, including front Safari split windows, pop-out side windows, and a rear hatch window, along with dual side mirrors, a right-side barn door, a roof rack, and a wood-slatted side ladder. It rides on 15” steel wheels adorned with chrome hubcaps and wrapped in new Firestone tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The three-row interior features bench seats reupholstered in green velour fabric adorned with color-matching paneling and lighter green vinyl sides. The seats are paired with green lap belts and the floors are lined with grey loop carpets. It has a two-spoke steering wheel with a gold Wolfsburg horn button, an overhead ventilation console, and a cabin heater. All gauges and electronics are reported to be in proper working order with no warning lights illuminated.

Power is provided by a rebuilt, rear-mounted 1.2-liter flat-four engine, delivering power to the rear wheels through a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission. It features an independent front suspension with trailing arms and rear swing axles, while drum brakes facilitate stopping power at all four corners. The suspension, steering, and brake systems were reportedly fully overhauled during the restoration.

This sale will include a toolkit, a spare tire, and a clean title.

The seller would like you to know: “This VW Bus was sourced in Brazil and then brought to the Restoration shop of Overland Imports. The Restoration was a full rotisserie restoration with custom paint and an upgraded interior. The engine is original, and all mechanical components have been restored. From Brazil, it was imported to Atlanta, GA where the Bus was again evaluated to make sure everything is in working order and the Bus drives well. A Conditional Title was obtained in the state of Georgia and all import paperwork was completed.”
