This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired by its previous owner in 2005 who commissioned a full custom restoration at a reported cost of approximately $150k. It was finished in Tuxedo Black over a red leather interior and features a roll cage, G-Force racing harnesses, a Hurst shifter, a Super suspension kit, and a 4-speed manual transmission. The car is powered by a custom-built 436ci V8 engine including AFR heads, a Titan TXR intake, and a racing camshaft, carburetor, and exhaust system. This no-expense-spared Corvette is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This C1 Corvette is finished in Tuxedo Black with a matching removable hardtop and contrasting silver side coves. Details include chrome bumpers and trim, a chrome driver’s side mirror, dual taillights, an L88-style Hi-Rise hood, and chrome 15” Billet Specialties wheels dressed in Nitto NT 555R Extreme Drag tires.
The cabin is lined with red carpeting with matching leather upholstery covering the low-back bucket seats, dashboard, and door panels. Accessories include a Hurst shifter, a leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel, G-Force racing harnesses, and an AutoMeter Sport-Comp tachometer with a shift indicator light mounted on the dashboard.
Power comes from a rebuilt V8 small-block engine which was bored to a 436ci displacement and upgraded with AFR heads, a Titan TXR intake, and a racing camshaft, carburetor, and exhaust system. The rear wheels are driven through a 4-speed manual transmission and the chassis includes an upgraded Super suspension kit.
This sale will include a clean title.
