The Chevrolet Corvair Pickup, also known as the Corvair 95 Rampside, stands out for its unconventional design and innovative features. Its limited production and distinctive characteristics have made it a sought-after collectible classic. Powered by a rear-mounted 145ci flat-six paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, this 1961 example was completely restored in 2015 and is refinished in red and white over a white cloth interior. It features quad headlights, 14” steel wheels with chrome hubcaps, a side loading ramp, a rear tailgate, a plexiglass engine cover, and a locking glovebox. This Corvair pickup truck is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Canada.

This example has undergone a bare-metal exterior restoration, including a refinish in red and white. Exterior features include quad headlights, chrome bumpers, Corvair 95 badging, a side loading ramp, rear bedside vents, a rear tailgate, a driver's side mirror, and a plexiglass engine cover on the cargo floor. It rides on red-finished 14” steel wheels adorned with chrome hubcaps and wrapped in whitewall tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery.

The cabin features a bench seat upholstered in white cloth, and interior details include vent windows, a floor-mounted shifter, a horizontal-sweep speedometer, and a locking glovebox. The carpets have been removed, exposing the black-finished metal. All gauges and electronics are confirmed to be functioning properly.

Power comes from a rear-mounted 145ci air-cooled flat-six with dual carburetors, which delivers a factory-rated 80 HP and 128 lb.-ft of torque to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission. The seller notes the vehicle received a tune-up in 2024 following its winter storage.

The seller would like you to know: “Heartbeat of America pickup truck with a flat-6 manual, sounds like a match made in heaven, in every stable where a Porsche 911 can be found. Jay Leno decided to have one! Speaks volumes to me! Your turn! GLWTA”
