The MG MGA was first introduced in 1955 with a newly designed chassis and a pontoon-styled body said to have been based on the MG TD Le Mans race car. This 1960 example was purchased by the seller in 2006 and subsequently underwent a complete four-year rotisserie restoration at Glenn’s MG Repair in St. Petersburg, Florida. It comes refinished in British Racing Green with a tan convertible soft top over a tan leather interior, and features a supercharged engine and upgraded 5-speed manual transmission. Driven approximately 300 miles since restoration, this MGA is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
This MGA has been refinished in British Racing Green with a tan convertible soft top. It rides on OEM 15” wire wheels dressed in Breidestein Sprint Classic tires from 2010. Exterior details include chrome front and rear bumpers, driver and passenger side mirrors, mesh-covered front headlights, British-themed front grille badging, UK flag badging on the front fenders, MGA-badged hood intakes with complementing “1600” badging, a rear luggage rack, and single exhaust outlet. The seller notes a small scratch on the soft top and detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The interior is upholstered in tan leather complemented with a black dashboard and carpeting. Details include driver and passenger lap belts, wire door pulls, a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, a wood-handled MG shifter, and MG/British-racing-inspired badging on the passenger-side dash. All gauges, electronics, and accessories are reported to be working properly.
This MGA is powered by a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine that has been upgraded with a supercharger, which sends power to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission. The seller states the engine was completely rebuilt, a supercharger has been added, and other mechanical components addressed during the restoration include the suspension and brakes, along with an updated electrical system. The seller notes that the car has recieved required oil changes, brakes, and cooling fluids, and all brake cylinders were replaced in May 2020.
This sale will include a clean title and some documentation.
The seller would like you to know: "Thank you for visting my auction. This is a great opportunity to buy one of the best restored MGA's!"

Beautiful car. Quick question - The dash on this car originally came painted the body color. The dash on your car looks black to me in the photos and it does not appear to be painted, but covered in material. Would you please let us know the finish material and the color?

to greg7334,
-Curtains are not included
-Supercharger and 5 speed conversion were supplied by Moss Motors, you may find the information from MOSS.

-Top damage is just a little scratch, see photo # 26
Hello, tastefully done MGA. Are side curtains included? What brand is the supercharger? Same question for 5 speed. Documentation for restoration and service ? Is top damage closer to a tear than a scratch?
Thanks!
Welcome to all bidders and watchers!
