Available for auction is this 1960 Chevrolet Apache finished in RaceTrac Black over a black leather interior. The successor to Chevrolet’s “Task Force” line, the C/K series was introduced for the 1960 model year and was General Motors' first pickup to be developed on a dedicated truck platform. This Apache underwent a comprehensive restoration within the last four years which included a new 350ci V8 and 3-speed transmission, a refurbished interior, a custom sound system, fresh paint, and more. It is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida, having covered just over 1k miles since its restoration.
Chevrolet’s Task Force series introduced the industry’s first wrap-around windshield, a taller cab, and redesigned bed fenders that would be carried through to 1966. This Apache was finished in the custom shade of RaceTrac Black during its restoration and features chrome bumpers, side mirrors, and custom fender badging. Other details include a wood slat bed floor with polished fasteners, chrome bed rails, a bed-mounted spare wheel and tire, and a side-exit exhaust It rides on a set of chrome 17” Moto Metal wheels dressed in Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires.
The cabin features a TMI bench seat upholstered in black leather with contrasting orange stitching and stainless-steel grommets. Details include a painted dashboard, door panels, and headliner, roll-up windows, a Billet aluminum gauge pod with Marshall instrumentation, a wood-rimmed 3-spoke steering wheel, and a B&M shifter. A custom sound system has been installed and includes a Custom Auto Sound head unit with Bluetooth connectivity, a Rockport amplifier, and 10” kicker speakers mounted under the dashboard and seat.
Power comes from a 350ci Chevrolet small block V8 equipped with a moderate cam. The rear wheels are driven by way of a Turbo 350 3-speed automatic transmission. During the restoration, Keener’s Engine Machine Shop of West Palm Beach, Florida performed work on the engine and Precision Transmission of Boynton Beach, Florida worked on the transmission. The seller reports that service since the restoration has included an oil and filter change within the first 1k miles.

@Txporsche Torsion Bar front suspension with Coil Springs in rear and all 4 shocks are Gas charged --upgraded to Power front Disc Brakes-with Drums in rear
and as mentioned Power Steering was also added
Have the brakes been upgraded to disk? Also, please comment on any other suspension mods.
