This 1959 Porsche 356A Coupe replica was completed in Southern California in November of 2021 and comes finished in Dolomite Silver over a black leather interior. It was acquired by its current owner in January 2022 and is built on a 1973 Volkswagen Beetle chassis. It features a 1600cc flat-four engine from CB Performance, Fuchs wheels, a custom sound system, and many original Porsche parts including 914 gauges, a 356 steering wheel, various Porsche trim pieces, pop-out rear windows, and more. Of the three major car shows in which it was entered, this 356 replica placed 1st in two while earning Best in Show in the other. Having been comprehensively serviced in preparation for sale, this 356 is now being offered for auction out of Florida.
This 356 comes finished in Dolomite Silver and features matching bumpers, dual side mirrors, Porsche badging, and a set of 15” staggered-width Fuchs wheels dressed in Kuhmo tires sized 175/55 in front and 195/55 in the rear. The finish is said to remain very well preserved while showing some imperfections on the passenger door and a small scratch (less than a quarter of an inch) on the rear end, detailed images can be found in the gallery.
The cabin features light grey upholstery, and the front seats are trimmed in black leather with Porsche crested headrests. Details include a Porsche 356 steering wheel, an analog clock, Porsche rally clocks, original Porsche rear windows, and a custom sound system including a Pioneer Bluetooth radio head unit and speakers. The seller notes that a minor imperfection is present on the rear carpet and that replacement Porsche 914 gauges have been installed. The car's true mileage is said to be approximately 1,500.
Power comes from an air-cooled 1600cc flat-four-cylinder engine from CB Performance. The rear wheels are driven by way of a 4-speed manual transaxle and the chassis includes adjustable suspension at the front and rear. The seller has provided a collection of build records and notes that routine oil and filter services have been carried out every 6 months. A recent major service is said to have included a tune-up, valve adjustment, carburetor service, and brake service.
This sale will include a collection of records and a clean title.

@jimcomer I will confirm and circle back. Build records indicate shell is from Brazil. Which (I believe) it is where the Kitman's shells are sourced from.
What company was the coupe body sourced from??
@maxmilford you are absolutely correct! This was next on the list for sure (not difficult/costly). That being said, the car is not driven much or for long or aggressively. Occasional car show and cruise down Bayshore Blvd on nice, beautiful and sunny FL days! Thanks again for the feedback - much relevant!
Beautiful car. Air-cooled VW motors and Porsche 356 motors need to be sealed so that maximum airflow goes in proper place. I assume that there is metal/or fiberglass pieces not installed around the motor by builder (?). Authentic steering wheel is a nice touch. Some 356 chairs would complete the look.

@Jotte Thanks for the comment! Actual mileage is 1485. Used 914 Gauges had 35,874 dialed in when installed. Build records and image are evidence of this. This was explained in initial ad draft but overlooked in final review. I will see a out having this explained for clarity.
Great looking car! Being only 3 years old, have any idea of actual mileage? Assuming the 914 speedo wasn’t reset when put in this car.
Greetings to all! Looking forward to the auction and your comments/questions!! Please message me and I will get back to you immediately. Thanks for your interest!
