Representing the first generation of Chevrolet’s iconic Corvette, the C1 introduced quad headlamps, a prominent front grille, and refreshed interior styling for the 1958 model year, with further refinements following in 1959. This 1959 Corvette is finished in silver over a red interior and is powered by a fuel-injected 290-horsepower 283ci Hi-Lift Cam V8 mated to a 4-speed manual gearbox and Positraction limited-slip differential. Features include a black convertible soft top, a removable body-color hardtop, and 15” steel wheels. Acquired by the seller in 2021, it has since received a fuel injection and transmission rebuild along with a replacement clutch assembly, intake manifold gasket, tachometer cable, and starter. This C1 is now available for auction out of Ohio, accompanied by NCRS Top Flight Awards.
As part of a frame-off restoration completed between 2012 and 2013, this Corvette was refinished in silver with white-painted coves and chrome brightwork. Details include a retractable black soft top, quad headlamps, a prominent front grille assembly, split bumpers, a driver’s side mirror, and 15” steel wheels with dog dish-style covers wrapped in tires from 2023. A body-color removable soft top and the original spinner hubcaps will accompany the sale. The seller notes a few minor stress cracks along the upper fenders. This example has been awarded Regional & National NCRS Top Flight honors in 2014 and 2016, respectively. Judging documents are provided in the gallery along with additional images.
Inside, the cabin has been reupholstered in red vinyl, complemented by red-painted accents along the dashboard, center stack, and three-spoke steering wheel, all accented with chrome trim. Features include multi-gauge instrumentation with a 7k-RPM tachometer mounted ahead of the steering wheel, a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, roll-up windows, a passenger-side grab handle, an AM radio, and red carpets with matching floor mats. The ignition and turn signal switches were reportedly replaced in January 2021.
Power comes from a 283ci Hi-Lift Cam V8 engine, sending as much as 290 HP to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission and a Positraction limited-slip differential. The seller notes that the fuel injection system was rebuilt between 2022 and 2023, while additional maintenance in 2022 included a tune-up and the replacement of the intake manifold gasket, tachometer cable, and starter. A February 2023 service reportedly included a transmission rebuild, flywheel resurfacing, and clutch assembly replacement.
This sale will include a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “Since my ownership, the vehicle has been stored in a temperature-controlled garage and driven very little. I own numerous classic cars and maintain them all at a very high standard, capable of being driven at any given time. The only reason I am selling the vehicle is because I do not drive it enough and my car collection has changed over the past several years to include primarily European sports cars. The car drives and shows exceptionally well and would be a great addition to any collection.”

Bid in the amount of $25,000
I'm excited to be auctioning my 1959 Corvette Fuelie. I currently own several classic and supercars and have been a car guy my entire lift. Growing up, my father and his friends were all Corvette owners. My favorite was his 1960 C1, which I was never allowed to drive! I purchased this car because of its originality, NCRS documentation, and color combination, which is one of my favorites. The corvette is stored in a temperature controlled garage, maintained at a very high standard, and always on a charger. It starts up immediately and drives exceptionally well. I am not a corvette expert but have quite a bit of history on the car. If you are interested in the corvette please submit any questions and I will do my best to answer them. Good luck with the bidding!
Please use the Contact Seller button and we can exchange contact information. The car is currently at my home on a lift. You can inspect the undercarriage and then we can take it down and go for a drive. I also have quite a bit of documentation that you can review.
I live in Lexington ky I would love to come see the car in person please let me know how and when
