We are pleased to present this masterfully-restored 1958 Porsche 356A Super 1600 finished in Ivory over a Red leather interior. Highlighting a fully rebuilt numbers-matching 1.6L engine and a host of rare factory options, this Super sunroof coupe would be at home in any collector’s garage. Having had virtually all of its components gone through and restored to exceptionally high standards, this generously-equipped 356A is the perfect opportunity for a dedicated air-cooled enthusiast.
This 356 underwent a complete rotisserie nut and bolt restoration by a private specialist in Oregon only 6 months ago. During this time, the car was refinished in its original color of Ivory and any cosmetic issues were addressed. Retaining all of its original panels, this 356 is shown to be in a brilliant show-quality state. Receipts of all work performed will be included in the sale. This coupe rides on a set of correct factory Porsche wheels which come wrapped in Vredestein tires.
The interior of this 356 has been painstakingly reupholstered in sumptuous Red leather by Agustin Vidaurri of Autos International Inc. Original factory options include a sunroof, Blaupunkt “Stuttgart” radio, antenna, oil pressure gauge, dual safety belts, a dimmable rear-view mirror, US-spec bumpers, luggage rack straps and a touch-up pen. This 356’s cabin is shown to be in pristine condition with all gauges, electrical components and accessories fully functional.
This 356 carries an air-cooled 1.6l flat-four engine that has been completely overhauled by John Wilhoit of Wilhoit Auto restoration. The rear wheels are driven by way of a numbers-matching four-speed manual transmission making for a traditional analog driving experience. A dynamometer test was carried out by Wilhoit after the engine rebuild which yielded an output of 105HP. This Super 1600 is said to remain in excellent driving condition, just waiting to be cherished by its next owner.
The sale of this 356 will include a set of two keys, extensive records and documentation, a complete toolkit, Kardex report and clear title. Do not miss this incredible opportunity to get behind the wheel of a true collector-quality 356A coupe.

Pictures of the nut and bolt restoration would go a long way toward a higher bottom line. When these were just "used cars" the things that were done were sometimes poorly conceived and carried out. I've seen plenty of 356 sculptures. If John Wilhoit was the "man in charge" I'd be bidding to win. His work is as good as it gets. GLWA.
