Available for auction is this 1958 Lamborghini Lamborghinetta Tractor finished in red and gray. Predating the exotic sports car company, Lamborghini Trattori is an agricultural equipment manufacturer which still functions to this day and specializes in designing and building tractors. The historic Lamborghinetta featured a more refined design than its predecessor along with a 1,400cc air-cooled two-cylinder Lamborghini engine. This example is said to have been restored in Italy before being imported by the seller and is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Florida.
The chassis is finished in gray while the engine cover and seats are finished in red. The seller notes that the paintwork is in excellent overall condition having been restored, while some original parts show signs of age. Additional images can be found in the gallery. The 15″ front and 24″ rear steel wheels are finished in red to match the bodywork and are dressed in Trelleborg and Ozka tires respectively. This example is believed to be an early production Lamborghinetta as it isn't equipped with a tachometer, but rather an oil pressure gauge.
Power comes from a 1,400cc air-cooled two-cylinder diesel engine which delivers up to 22 HP through a 3-speed transmission with a high/low transfer case. The Lamborghinetta is mechanically similar to the later 1R tractor.
