Completed in March 2004 as the 75th Speedster replica built by Beck, this 1958 Porsche 356 Speedster 1600 Super replica features fiberglass bodywork laid over a steel full tube chassis and is powered by an air-cooled 1,600cc Volkswagen engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. It comes finished in beige over a tan interior and equipped with four-wheel disc brakes, dual Weber carburetors, a custom stainless-steel exhaust, air conditioning, a sound system, and a Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel. This Speedster replica is now being offered for auction by its second owner out of Colorado while showing approximately 29k kilometers (18k miles) on the odometer.
The hand-laminated fiberglass bodywork is mated to a bonded frame and comes finished in a nonmetallic beige color with a tan convertible top and matching tonneau cover. Accessories include chrome trim and door handles, headlight guards, dual polished mirrors, gold Speedster lettering, a Reutter coachwork badge, dual exhaust pipes, and chrome 15” wheels with Porsche-crested hubcaps and Kumho tires (4612). A full-size matching spare wheel is mounted in the trunk. The seller notes a few paint chips are present throughout the exterior, detailed images are provided in the gallery.
The cabin features a pair of tan Speedster-style bucket seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Accessories include a Nardi wood gear knob, a three-spoke Nardi wood-rimmed steering wheel, custom Coco floor mats, a Kenwood stereo, a 4-speaker sound system, factory-installed air conditioning, and classic 356-style VDO gauges. The seller notes a minor wear mark on the driver’s seat near the seatbelt buckle and reports all gauges and accessories are working properly.
Power comes from an air-cooled 1,600cc Volkswagen flat-four engine with dual Weber carburetors and a custom stainless-steel exhaust. The rear wheels are driven by way of a VW 4-speed manual transmission and stopping power comes from disc brakes at each corner. The seller notes routine oil changes have been carried out and the car received a tune-up with carburetor adjustments in 2016.

Beck is the one to have in a Speedster replica. This example presents very well . Great color combination. A/C a plus . Should do well. Good luck to seller and buyer!
@xturbo1 I believe the hp is about 90, and I don't know the torque. I believe it weighs about 1500 lbs

@wonk if you drove one with a VW pan, they have less room…with this on a tube frame, much more space
@wonk @wonk. Im 5’11 as well…left edge of gas pedal is about an inch and a half from the right edge of the brake pedal, but the brake pedal sits way above the gas pedal…I have no issues

Seller how tall are you? I have only driven one of these replica speedsters once. I am not sure what build it was but at 5'11 I was cramped. Also - I could only drive barefoot as the gas pedal was litereally right next to the brake. Everything else about them I love. I am just wondering the deal with this one.
