The Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce combines elegant Pinin Farina bodywork with a spirited open-air driving experience. The third and current owner reportedly acquired this 1958 Tipo 750F example about ten years ago. Shortly after the acquisition, a comprehensive refurbishment by the seller’s shop, E-N-I Motorsports of Brookfield, Connecticut, included a refinish in silver, a replacement black convertible top, and reupholstered interior. The twin-cam inline-four was rebuilt with a displacement increase to 1.4 liters, while the 5-speed manual gearbox was resealed. Additional work included overhauling the finned aluminum drum brakes, installing an electronic distributor, replacing exhaust components, and more. Recently serviced in preparation for the sale, this Giulietta Spider Veloce is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Connecticut.

Styled by Carrozzeria Pinin Farina, the Giulietta Spider Veloce features steel bodywork with a shield-shaped grille, rounded fenders, wraparound chrome bumpers, and polished brightwork. Design highlights include a driver’s side mirror, subtle Veloce badging, and rounded tail lamps unique to this variant. This example was stripped to bare metal and refinished in silver during a restoration under current ownership about 15 years ago. Several trim pieces were refinished, and a new black convertible top was installed in 2022. It is equipped with Zagato 15” Alloy Competition wheels from Alfa Stop, UK, fitted with 155-series Vredestein Sprint Classic tires mounted approximately 10 years ago, with 11/32nd tread depth. The seller notes a blemish on the lower right edge of the deck lid and a touched-up dime-sized chip on the top of the left rear quarter panel. Detailed images are available in the gallery.

The cabin was reupholstered during the refurbishment, featuring black leather low-back bucket seats and custom-fabricated wood door panels with matching upholstery. The equipment includes a two-spoke steering wheel with a metal horn ring, Veglia gauges, a dashboard-mounted rearview mirror, a crinkle-finished dashboard, replacement black carpets, and Alfa Romeo-branded rubber floor mats. Additional appointments include lap belts, a cabin heater, and a Pininfarina radio blanking plate. The seller states all gauges were restored by Palo Alto Speedometer in 2011.

The twin-cam inline-four engine was rebuilt and enlarged to a 1.4-liter displacement by E-N-I Motorsports, who also balanced and blueprinted the engine. The Weber sand-cast dual carburetors were restored by Pierce Manifolds in 2010. The engine features an electronic distributor and dual Weber 40DCO3 carburetors for induction. In 2024, the cylinder was removed for a complete valve job, and a copper head gasket was installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission, which was resealed during the refurbishment. Additional work performed at that time included replacing the clutch assembly and overhauling the driveshaft and rear axle. The exhaust headers have been ceramic coated, and replacement exhaust components were installed. Upgrades include Koni shocks and aftermarket springs. Recent service in preparation for the sale included re-coring the radiator, installing a copper head gasket, and replacing the thermostat, ignition wires, and spark plugs, along with changing the engine oil and coolant.

This Alfa Romeo is offered with a registration listing the vehicle as a 1959 model.

The seller would like you to know: “This is an exceptional vehicle and has been kept in exceptional condition throughout the current owner’s ownership.”

I am curious as how long it takes to put the canvas top up and the relative ease of same. Is the car stored with the roof behind the seats or up? It looks new but there are a lot of things you can picture or not.
    What is the estimated hp...110?
