Inspired by the classic 356A Speedster, this 1957 Porsche replica wears a custom Super Widebody exterior finished in Seal Grey Metallic over baseball glove tan upholstery. It derives power from an air-cooled 2,332cc engine and features heated Speedster-style bucket seats, a Vintage Speed shifter, a RetroSound stereo, disc brakes, and other premium equipment. Custom built for its owner with less than 100 miles driven since, this unique Speedster replica is now being offered for auction by its seller out of North Carolina.
The Super Widebody exterior is constructed from lightweight fiberglass over a VW chassis and finished in the Porsche color of Seal Grey Metallic. Accessories include a black convertible soft top with matching side curtains and boot cover, front and rear bumpers, a louvered rear decklid, dual aero-style fender mirrors, and a set of removable CruZin windows for top-down driving. It rides on custom deep-dish Fuchs-style chrome wheels fitted with colored Porsche crest center caps and Nexen tires. Detailed images are provided in the gallery along.
The cabin is trimmed in baseball glove tan leatherette upholstery contrasted by dark grey square weave carpeting. Accessories include a pair of heated Speedster-style bucket seats, analog VDO gauges, a Vintage Speed shifter, door pulls, billet aluminum pedal covers, a standard heating system, a wood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, and a RetroSound stereo with Bluetooth compatibility.
Power comes from an air-cooled 2,332cc flat-four engine paired with a 4-speed manual gearbox that sends a claimed output of 145 HP to the rear wheels. Front and rear disc brakes are equipped as well as an external oil cooler and an exhaust system with dual center-mounted tailpipes.
This Speedster is accompanied by some associated documentation and sales literature as well as a clean title.

What an incredibly beautiful and flawless Porsche! I can just imagine cruising down the road in this stunner. Thank you for providing the repair it had. It's seems to have been very miniscule and was perfectly repaired. I would have never noticed if it was not mentioned. I have been eyeing a 356 but haven't seen any with these options and quality. This is a great price compared to the $50k+ I have been seeing them go for with a lot more miles.
Happy bidding to everyone!

@Kupplungspedal 145hp on a VW chassis
Would the seller be able to tell us a bit about the weight of the car and the estimated horsepower? Is this built on the platform of a VW or a tube frame set up that some of the replica cars use for the base? Thank you

Hello Gentlemen,
Original body shop invoice attached along with additional photos of the minor damage. Repair cost was right at one thousand dollars. The rest of the cost and work was for an upgrade to a power steering system also performed by Klassic Rides LLC. The work was done extremely well including paint blending and matching that you cant tell if there was ever any damage at all. I was very impressed!!

@sivanov0 Thank you. This is a beautiful vehicle!
I am not the owner of the vehicle, I am a seller. I am not aware of any accidents. However, I will speak to the owner and get more information on this. We did inspect this vehicle very well and we did not find any previous damage or repairs of any kind, what ever it was must of been very minor.
I love the wide body. This is a clean example on how it should have been offered from the Porsche factory.

Hi Everyone- This had Troy @repulicaspeedsters look all over, but with bumber- he usually used the chrome nerf bars up front and in the rear- the side windows also gave his name to this great-looking Speedster.
To @nkalashnik- can you post the collision repairs invoice
Thanks a lot and GLWTA Rob
@nkalashnik Not exactly "brand new," just very low miles. This is a car that I had built for the North Carolina owner in 2020. It's one of the nicest cars I've sold and my original pictures and videos are still on my website. However, in the interest of full disclosure, I think it's important to disclose that the car was involved in a front end collision that required extensive repairs. It does appear that the work was well done and the car does look beautiful but nevertheless it's important information that potential owners should be aware of.

Is the suspension adjustable to lower the stance of the car?
