Representing the first-generation C1 Corvette, this 1957 Chevrolet Corvette is said to have undergone a professional body-off restoration featuring a 347ci (5.7L) small block V8 engine paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. This restomod also showcases chrome trim and engine components, Patriot headers, a Magnaflow exhaust, power-assisted brakes and steering, independent suspension with Bilstein shocks, electric windows, Auto-Meter gauges, a Vintage Air air-conditioning system, and a Retro Sound stereo system. Purchased by the selling dealer in January 2024, this thoroughly restored and customized Corvette is now being offered for auction out of Virginia.

The fiberglass bodywork has been refinished in black by Corvette Doctor and features custom air intakes on the fenders and a revised rear with custom recessed taillights. Accessories include a chrome front grille, split chrome bumpers, chrome trim and body moldings, a polished driver’s side mirror, quad tailpipes, and 17” Corvette C5 chrome wheels dressed in Falken 245/45 tires. The tires show production date codes from 2010 and the exterior is described to be in excellent condition with a new soft top frame and beige Stay Fast convertible roof.

The cabin features tan leather bucket seats with a matching dashboard, door panels, and leatherbound carpeting. What make is the engine? I’ve never heard of a 347. 265, 283, 327, 427, 454 yes but not a 347. Please explain. Thanks.
@mjb737 we have not driven this car in the rain but the top was a new top when the restoration was finished.
