The Fiat Campagnola was introduced in 1951 as a military vehicle in post-war Italy, and is said to be largely inspired by Willy’s Jeeps left to the Italian armed forces after World War II. The Campagnola name translates to “country girl” in English, due to the fact quickly became adopted for use in the agricultural sector thanks to its part-time four-wheel drive system, locking axles, and two-speed transfer case which was suitable for traversing even the roughest terrain. This 1956 example was imported from Europe to the United States and received a full restoration in Italian military style including a repaint in gloss olive green with paint-matched wheels, a canvas top, reupholstered brown leather seats, and more. Showing approximately 32,900 km (20,440 miles) on the odometer, this Fiat Campagnola is now being offered at auction by its seller out of Florida.
This Fiat received a repaint in gloss olive green and can be identified as an early-series military AR51 model by its larger headlights and thin steel front bumper. Exterior equipment includes a matching green canvas top secured by rope and leather straps, a fender-mounted loudspeaker, yellow front driving lights, a rear steel bumper with steps, a shovel and pickaxe mount on the rear, fender-mounted black mirrors, an additional drivers side upper mirror, front fender flares with mudflaps, a fold-down windshield, and rearward opening doors. The seller notes some corrosion on the front bumper, detailed images are provided in the gallery. The paint-matched steel wheels are mounted with Nexen all-terrain tires with date codes from 2015.
The interior features two front fixed seats and two inward-facing jump seats in the rear, which have been reupholstered in brown leather. The spartan interior features a storage box with two openings behind the front seats, a mount for a full-size spare, a 20-liter jerry can mount, chrome-ringed instrumentation for oil pressure, fuel level, and a speedometer, with an additional temperature gauge and cigarette lighter mounted below the dash.
The Fiat Campagnola is powered by a 1.9L inline four-cylinder engine with dual overhead valves producing 52 HP. The rear wheels are driven by a 4-speed manual transmission, with a selectable four-wheel drive system sending torque to the front wheels when the transfer case is engaged. Features include front and rear locking differentials, an independent front suspension, and a load capacity of 6 passengers and 120 pounds of cargo. The seller reports a thorough maintenance inspection was recently completed and all mechanical items are said to work without any issues.
This sale will include a clean title and some service documents.

Hi Seller
Looking at imported paperwork it’s showing as a 1982, however, it’s listed as 1956. Just wanted to clarify. Please.
Thanks
