The Cushman Motor Works company was founded in Lincoln, Nebraska in 1903 and produced some of the most iconic scooters of the twentieth century including the Model 53 which was deployed with Army Airborne troops during World War II. This 1956 example is a Cushman Eagle scooter which is said to have been restored to factory specifications several years ago under prior ownership. It comes finished in an off-white color and is equipped with an air-cooled Cushman Husky four-stroke flathead single-cylinder engine paired with a two-speed manual transmission. A representation of 1950s culture and classic American design, this Cushman Eagle is now being offered for auction by its seller out of Alabama.
This scooter is said to have been restored several years ago and retains factory specifications apart from a raised chrome handlebar. Details include a black steel tube frame, contoured wheel fairings, a rear luggage rack, a chrome tailpipe, a chrome headlight bucket, a chrome engine shroud, a sprung black vinyl saddle, steel 7 ¾” wheels, and a teardrop fuel tank with chrome trim and Cushman Eagle graphics.
Power comes from an air-cooled and carbureted Cushman Husky flathead single-cylinder engine paired with a chain drive 2-speed manual transmission with a hand-operated shifter and a foot pedal clutch. The frame includes a tubular front fork, a rigid rear end, and pedal-operated drum brakes front & rear.
This scooter is offered with a clean title.
The seller would like you to know: “A great and rare 1956 Cushman eagle. This is a fun street legal toy for kids and adults. With a top speed of around 55 MPH, it makes a wonderful neighborhood cruiser.”

@Artdeckco I purchased it in the current condition and have had no need to purchase replacement parts but the Cushman community is large, very informative and to my knowledge almost any part you need is available from tires to handlebars.
Bid in the amount of $750
Where are you able to order parts for that?
Where do you take it for repairs locally in AL?
