Available for auction is a 1955 Schwinn Black Phantom presented in exceptional, near-new condition and believed to have never been ridden as stated by the seller. Acquired from the family of the original owner, this iconic bicycle looks as if it just rolled off the showroom floor, with the only sign of age being the nicely patinated leather saddle.
Finished in striking red and black with white pinstriping and gold-and-black script, it features classic styling and premium details, including chrome fenders, a chrome girder fork, Schwinn-branded sprung cognac leather saddle, chrome pullback handlebars with red grips, and wire-spoke wheels wrapped in Schwinn Typhoon whitewall tires.
Additional equipment includes a side stand, cargo rack, Fenderlite, Stoplite, steering lock, and a coaster brake. Power is delivered through a crank arm and polished sprocket connected by a drive chain. The bike measures 70”L x 38”H x 9”W. This meticulously preserved example is a standout collector's piece.

All maintenance has been done in the last three years
Has this Schwinn ever had any maintenance done, and if so, what and when? I’m talking about wheel bearings, chain etc.
They are original and are great for display and hold air as there is no cracking. If you planed to ride it, I would get an extra set of tires.
I am assuming the tires are very old. Any recent or routine maintenance been done?
