This 1941 Ford has been reimagined with a custom-built body produced from steel, drawing inspiration from classic Ford hot rods as well as the iconic Plymouth Prowler. Powered by a 302ci V8 engine, this build features aluminum cylinder heads, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, a rebuilt C4 three-speed automatic transmission, Jaguar-derived suspension components, and much more. Finished in black over tan upholstery, this meticulously crafted hot rod is now being offered for auction out of Massachusetts.

Based upon a 1941 Ford chassis, this custom build features a steel body finished in black with subtle matte-black flame graphics. Details include a Prowler-inspired front end with a bold grille and exposed front wheels, a raked split windshield, streamlined rearview mirrors, rear-hinged “suicide” doors, a chopped roof, and a rounded trunk design. A set of polished Wilwood brake calipers are set beneath staggered-width 18”/22” Raceline wheels with chrome and black accents. A couple of small blemishes are noted, detailed images are provided in the gallery.

Inside, the 2+2 cabin is customized with tan full leather upholstery complemented by a black dashboard and center console. Features include perforated seats, a Billet Specialties three-spoke steering wheel with black and chrome accents, centrally mounted white-faced Haneline instrumentation, power front windows, heating and air conditioning, and a Pioneer stereo system. One small scratch is noted on the driver’s seat.

Power comes from a custom-built 302ci V8 engine featuring aluminum cylinder heads and Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection. The rear wheels are driven through a Ford C4 3-speed automatic transmission. Additionally, Jaguar rear-end suspension components have been installed. The latest service is said to have been performed in 2024, and no outstanding maintenance items have been reported.

This sale will include a clean title, two keys, driver instructions, a lug key, a radio remote, a stylus pen, and some service documentation.

@TheVintageCarGuy the w was suppose to be a 2 it was a typo. The car has a shut off switch and the way it is customer there are instructions on the steps to start the car. Before I get the question, yes there are keys as stated but there are steps to opening the hood, the trunk and releasing the kill switch as well to start the car

@pinnacleimports1 Couple of quick questions if I may. You state that "We have owned it for about W years." For those of us that count years in numbers rather than letters, exactly how many years is "W years" ? Secondly, the description states "This sale will include a clean title, two keys, driver instructions,...." . Are there, and what are, the quirks about this car that make "driver instructions" necessary?

@TomC ty for the question, we acquired the car already built as it is part of our private collection. We have owned it for about W years. We are currently closed for Christmas but once we re open I can go through the paperwork we have to see if I have shop info there

    Who built the car?
